Finaly Nokia has come to senses. But why too late? There's already out Samsung i8910 Omnia HD which equals N900 in every aspects and even miles better in some of them...only the 32GB storage & Physical keyboard is advantage of N900...but u can get 32GB in Omnia HD too by a mcard & who need more in a mobile? And N900 have better screen resolutions but it's TFT is no match for Omnia HD's AMOLED...and woooof! Resistive again...there's no need to explain that capacitive screens are way better than resistive. What a failure and yet N900 is too heavy. What a failure overall...and yet people made it populer. Lol...

And please haven't you notice? Every touchphone that has been made is always measures up with Iphone. In such short span of time Iphone is already an Icon.
Every new touchphone in the market was tagged as iphone killer...but really, have they had killed it. The fact of the truth remains that everything out there wants to be like Iphone.
IPHONE is in it's class of it's own.

The Nokia N900 looks impressive, with maemo 5 and finally a muli-touch screen this fone does look cool. However its needs again in my opinion apps to back up the fone. However i believe this fone can generally put up a fight against the dominate iphone.
Cant wait for it.........

brian, 08 Sep 2009looks like its better than n97....oh well have to wait and ... moreKep your E90, it is the best by far, does anyone actually use the phones for what they have been designed for, e.g mobile business solutions.
I use my E90 (having bought my N97 and having it sitting on the shelf doing nothing, because thats all its best used for) all day, the contacts are excellent, I add notes to a contact, rename the field label, use organiser correctly as a really usefull CRM system.
I bet nobody knows that if you add a string into a contact note on the E90, N97, and the useless Iphone, THEN use the "in device search" on all three devices, ONLY the E90 finds the string. That is a huge downfall for the N97 and Iphone.
The N97 does not allow contact field label editing.
Also anyone noticed that when you switch phones using Nokias crapy transfer, it misses the Contact Groups, loses the customised label names, AND most importantly doesn't bother copying Active notes. What a dumb dumb arse bunch of testers Nokia must have...
So in a nutshell KEEP the E90, it is the best, but lets see what this so called n900 hotshot linux device is like for actual business use because there are some of us out here who actually WANT to use these devices for their everyday business tool.

PLaYD, 08 Sep 2009this phone is only can be on landscape mode? don't see any ... moreThe phone certainly has telephone functions which work in portrait mode, I've seen videos of this on YouTube. I'm not sure if that extends to the "desktop" experience as well - time will tell I guess!

I think I'm going to wait for the N910 or whatever comes next to the N900. This device is like the 5800 of the 5th edition, a tester. I don't wanna be Nokia's guinea pig.

awesome phone i just do not like the fact that u cant fully use it in portrait mode and have to always be in landscape mode

And no... Android is not as free as Maemo is! Can you run other OS with Android? No, because Google wants you to use their own apps, just like Apple. And besides, there is no single feature which Android has that Maemo hasn't. Name ONE thing which is superior in Android, just ONE thing! Because the hardware support is better by far on Maemo, the app availibility is a killer on Maemo with multiple OS and the GUI is really nice! Everything is better, simply admit it, or say what is superior in Android.
Google-fanboys have hard to argument with FACTS...

May i know w... morehi i think that you should get the nokia n900 this phone is way better than the apple phone like the iphone has 3mp camera but the n900 has a 5mp camera with dual flash and a full qwerty keybored compared to the iphone its keybored is on the screen maybe you like it that way maybe not but do the comparison on this website and see for yourself

hi i have heard about the nokia n900 and quite honestly it is not for me it is for people that surf the internet alot the main feature that i see in this phone is nokia has up the ram double that of the n97 but from what i am hearing about this n900 it is going to be really cool and fun to use

hi, i was wondring whether to get iphone 3gs ? May i know wheter is the right way to prefer getting n900 instead of iphone 3gs? N m not that sure whats d diffrent too..does n900 cost cheaper than 3gs n wil it lagging if there's alot of mp4 or photo store in d phone. Can 3gs games dwnload n play in n900? Pls analyse. Thanks !
