Should I wait for N900 or buy N97 instead? I've been using S60 phones since 2004 and SE UIQ since 2002. Is Maemo much better then S60? I checked out N810 last year and wasn't impressed by it...

              Hello,
So guys, I saw vid with one of the staff of Nokia. So he said, that portrait mode can be used, if there will be created any app's that uses it, it's open for this. And maybe in future, they will get us all portrait mode in meniu and everywhere. Now as i saw it's active for photo viewing and some other stuff. But it's not able for meniu. And one more time: Developers can create apps that runs in portrait mode. And all stuff in OVI should be free!!!
              Hope, I helped a little.

                  Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970iPhone?

good phone indeed but I got bored with it, 2G! 3G! 3GS!, same stuff, few add ons.. I'm moving on to N900

                  iTunes?

Nokia is launching the Comes With Music in January.. unlimited download right to my fingertips

                  appStore?

yes I'm going to miss it but I will be busy downloading stuff from Ovi Store, so it would cover this matter a bit

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2009resesitive = touch with force capacitive = touch without forceYeah, you really need to apply much force for resistive...

Resistive = touch with stylus, nail or anything else, handwriting recognition, more precise...
Capactive = none of the above

brynn, 09 Sep 2009the amoled stands for active matrix organic light emmiting ... moreThanx Brynn, it's nice explanation for the opinion, i actually have known a bit about it, well the amoled is not a long live and may easy start white spots, and capacitive not for writing recognition and not for painting graphics, and the rezistive is capable of all, it's just not so strong to surwive stong toys and may scratch.., but anyway it was about this guys like Treak, they just rush everywhere claiming about amoled or capacitive as they are their prophet, but they really don't know wot really is..., as you can see he is not out with the answer i ask him?!

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2009Tanz, you sem to know things about phones, so can you expla... morethe amoled stands for active matrix organic light emmiting diode its just a screen type and has its own lighting built in and uses less power and that is its basic level of explanation..

CApacitive and resistive are 2 types of touch input tech..resistive uses two plates of plastic that get pushed together to create a connection and using coordinates the computer can recognise where it was touched and what instruction it represents..thats easiest level i can explain it at..

Capactive screen uses 3 capacitors that create an open circuit,,when the presence of the finger comes into contact of the open circuit the circuit gets completed and using co-ordinates sends an instruction to tell the computer what that instrution co-ordinate corresponds too..thats in easy terms its best to google it..

                                        Capacitive/resistive/buttons are all inputs...
Amoled,,tft, stn, cstn, plasma,,led are all types of screen that give a display output that our eyes percieve..
