Why are Winmo's even mentioned here??
They only have "IE" and crapy webkit browsers :))

If I had to choose the only options would be i8910 and N900.
But samsung did a lousy job releasing and atracting developers. Maybe with the release of satio well see some action.Since the i8910 is getting better support & firmwares than any other samsung to date it's really worth considering.
But than again there is the small resolution and the lousy browsing experience but it's not as bad as on the xperias and other winmos that can barely handle flash.
N900 is new but it's both linux and open source so usualy what runs on linux can easyly be ported on to it + it supports s60 emulation so it would run pretty much all symbian apps to date.
I do hope samsung consider a major update that would shake nokia off their feet with tabbed browsing and flash 9.4 support!

As a response to older posts:
Both Xperia x1 x2 and n97 are crap hardware-wise and not the entire ram in the world will change the weak cpu, because a strong cpu is what you need to have a flawless browsing/multimedia experience.
Comparing clocks doesn't work the way you might think because 1 AMD clock is not equal to an INTEL clock and so on for as many cpus as there are on this planet.
N97 was a success because there was a lot of advertising in the middle and it's simply something blingy-good looking.
Sony and entertainment. Again, a weak phone is not for entertainment. Sony barely does VGA video while the competition does VGA since 2005 (6233). Recording quality video aswell as playback without boring conversions requires a good cpu.
Comparing xperia with n900 is simply pointless.
Any xperia is just another WinMO in the crowd, a crowd wich dominated by samsung.
Satio and i8910 are in the same class, both good devices, too bad that the i8910 records HD video while sony only does VGA, on the same specs.
So once and forall leave xperia be and don't compare incapable phones like x1, x2, n97 with satio, i8910 or N900

hi guys,
had been following i8910 omnia HD from quite some time and when i was almost sure that i am gonna buy it... N900 is announced.. :) ...now m interested, curious and watching n900... once it releases and i get an Hands-on experience, i'll make up my mind which one to go for.
As of now, i was just casually trying to compare the two phones. following are my observations:
Display:
N900: TFT Resistive Touch, 800x480 pixel, 3.5"
OmniaHD: AMOLED Capacitive Touch, 360 x 640 pixel, 3.7"
800x480 resolution would look surely awesome at 3.5" screen but it cant beat the AMOLED display. OmniaHD wins Hands Down (3 pts)
Dimensions & wt: Almost similar but Nokia weighs 33 grams more. I dunno if thats such a big deal. (1 pt to each)
Sound: Both Have Stereo Speakers, But Omnia got 5.1 Surround Stereo and DNSe
and it does sound better than iPod. Nokia ain't bad but cant match that exp. Omnia Wins here (3 pts)
Performance:
N900: TI 3420 CPU, 32GB Storage, 256 RAM, 768 Flash (VM)
OmniaHD: TI 3420 CPU, 8/16GB, 256 Ram, 256 Flash
It has been proven time and again that you just cant crash Omnia. No matter how hard you try. the Phone just refuses to die. Looking at N900 specs i can see Omnia Got beaten here. Also the extra Storage. N900 wins Hands down (3 pts)
Connectivity:
N900: EDGE/GPRS (Class 32), TriBand 3G (10/2 Mbps), Charges over USB, GPS (A-GPS)
OmniaHD: EDGE/GPRS (Class 12), TriBand 3G (7.5/5.6 Mbps), Charges over USB, GPS (A-GPS/GPS+)
Omnia Got lightning fast GPS coz of its GPS+ technology, i havent seen any other phone so fast in GPS but in EDGE & 3G N900 is bound to give way better performance. N900 Wins for me (3 pts)
Imaging: No comparison here. OmniaHD has got industry best Cam here, it even beats Pixon12MP Cam. Omnia wins Hands Down (3 pts)
Video Recording: Omnia Screwed itself here. HD Recording with pathetic audio. the experience is of feeling cheated. Nokia in this regard has always been very very reliable. And at WVGA video option it will rock. for me N900 anytime(3 pts)
Price: Ahh! Sigh!!! .. Omnia Wins Hands Down. i would have liked N900 to come around 500Euros... :'( Omnia Wins (3 pts)

Apart From these major points some more features are also noticeable
N900 has linux based OS that means any linux app can be directly ported to Maemo. it just needs a bit of re-coding and you have plethora's of apps available at your door step. the Second Call Camera its VGA for N900 - another Thumbs up. The Microb Browser from Mozilla comes with Flash support. another goodie. And so is the fact that it got FM trasnmitter. at times this is real handy app. N900 Battery is a real disappointment. 1320 means just over a day of juice :( what a shame. also the Office app in N900 is "Documents to GO" which allows Editing of Office Docs as well. Great!!! i would give N900 3 points here.
Final Score (as per me)
N900: 13
OmniaHD: 13
So at the end of it.. i end up with a tie :(
see, i cant make up my mind yet.. mebbe guys you can help me point some more good/bad things and make my decision a simpler one.

give me the $1million because you loss! haha, first and foremost I am not a Nokia fan, I have only one Nokia phone in the past, 3530, then I shifted to WinMo via O2 Tanager then the 3 generations of iPhone, unfortunately, I'm got sick and tired of it because apple failed to innovate, they're still giving me the same form factor, same UI, same experience for the past 3 years.
I applaud Nokia at the moment because they created a good device N900 that has everything I wanted for a change in my mobile phone experience. Its also worth noting that Nokia has covered a wider consumer service at the moment, from ovi store, comes with music, maps and navi etc, more than what apple can offer.
So my $1million please!

w... moreit was a just a bold observation of what was happening in the real world (ouside geek space). come to think of it, Samsung and Sony Ericsson who throw the best spec phones in 2009 doesn't even have a space on the Top 5 best selling companies for Smartphones, thats how worst they were when it comes to high end devices.
reality bites, specs doesn't count because the battle have now shifted from hardware (N95 Days) to software and services.

1. If Nokia product was bad why Nokia is still the best in the Industry???
2. If Nokia product was so boring why people always buy Nokia, Nokia, Nokia & Nokia???
3. If Nokia product is not good at all, why Nokia still be the market leader even untill tooday.
4. Why you have to be care about Nokia even if you don't like it???
People become more offensive coz they knew that Nokia was really big & almost unbeaten & they admit it by being so offensive, coz if they don't there will no trash talking about Nokia products.
& for the one who said compare to Nikon & Canon camera you are the most st*p*d person ever who post in this thread

What a horrible toy looking design!! And not to mention it weights 181 grams!!!! That's just really st*p*d and ugly! No Xenon? 5MP only? only 1 color? only a Li-ION? TFT screen only? How pathetic this phone is!!
