had been following i8910 omnia HD from quite so... moreHere are some Maemo 5-goodies:
PSP emulator (allows playing PSP-games)
Android emulator (allows using Android-apps)
Symbian emulator (allows using Symbian-apps)
J2ME emulator (?, allows using Java Mobile-programs)
Linux compatibility (allows using Linux-programs, such as Firefox and OpenOffice)
Omnia HD's true (and only) strength is the screen. It has yet to be beaten. However, all other stuff, including the camera, processor etc., is beaten by N900... but the screen is one of the most important specs, if not THE MOST important.
Maemo, on the other side, comes with plenty of eye-candy, and the software availibility as well as multi-tasking capabilities are unbeaten as well. Tough choise.

not sure why some are complaining. the specs are absolutely great. especially considering that it has above average spec for each feature, Keyboard, CPU, MEMORY, SCREEN SIZE. etc.

u know N900 or SE are jus mobile phone.
if you 1 big key n big size green u should buy laptop cos it bigger than your SE
if you 1 big megapixel camera u should buy digital camera

Megapixels are a useless number and anything above 5 will do and sony are famous for their gones that can't even record VGA.
Anyway, want a camera, get one, not a phone.
Go youtube and see the browsing speed on this device, see it playing youtube flawlwlessly from the browser see it multi-tabbing and see it laof flash contnent 9.4.
Xperia 2 is just a repackaged x1 with the same lame cpu, and lame windows that barely handles flash 3.
If you're so proud about x2 why do you feel the need to search something else and waste your breath here with useless arguments?
If you're a stupid SE fanboy, better start arguing about the satio wich btw IS a much better device than X2.

first of all let me just start by saying that this phone sux, the screen is small and the keybord is soo small unlike the SE x2, and also the x2 had an 8.1 mp camera and sony is famous for making cameras and nokia has a 5 mp camera and is famous for their slow softwares and cheap looks. the only thing that this phone has is the 32 gb memory, no big deal u can put up to 16 gb in any phone and u can have more than one memory stick, so SE x2 is clearly a much better choice , the x2 has a better camera, software(panels), very quick and responsive, and i can go on for days!! if you agree post this ********Sony Ericsson X2*********

do no... morewell when there's winmo (sucks I know) and android there still is an OS competition.
With this move the potential of symbian was shown but also put nokia in top with something that is above winmo, android and symbian (iphone OS I won't even mention because iphone is rather an expensive toy.

Symbian is now regarded as a mid-range OS and that's why it has been open-sourced so that people can work on it and improve it while nokia has a minimum expense and because nokia can compete on a higher level with maemo5.

nokia website says n900 CPU is advances processor, then why they put 434 in n97?

also, i have been a Nokia user since last 8 years and there is hardly a thing to complain. It's very very reliable. But since last two years (N96, N97, 5800XM) it has been doing a very lousy job of releasing new phones. So was looking to switch to i8910, but N900 surely changes the scenario.
But again price plays a BIG role in deciding as well. :((
