Anonymous, 30 Aug 2009ok dear be happy with those finnish guys. see you in the co... moreOh yes, no.1 thats why Nokia are far way before it in sales and market share!
Listen to me my dear, no handset in the world is perfect, and I mean it, no handset!!
You like your i8910, so what? Nobody told you to give it up, nobody told you it is bad, it is so damn god handset, but not perfect, there's no such term as perfection in electronic manufacturing dear 'electronic engineer'. If this phone doesn't concern you, you wouldn't have come here in first place saying "compare it with samsung i8910" cuz you know you'd lose!
See you when Nokia tops the sales with this handset, and the coming ones, and show me then how could your Samsung, LG & SE would last against it!

ok dear be happy with those finnish guys. see you in the coming years. and one thing for you dear electronic engineer DNSe 2.0 means perfection of sound when you enable it. it means the intermodulation and total harmonic distortion will become extremely low. samsung made perfect audio qualitys before that. and if you want to know you can check f110 and u600 audio qualitys. so they installed DNSe in their mobile phones to have better sound qualitys via headsets. and about video recording talk to me when nokia have something to record HD videos even at copying frames of 24fps. i'm waiting for that day. nokia has nothing but a name nowadays and they will lose the game to samsung LG and SE in coming years. you will see my dear. seems i'm wasting my time. i know all the specs and i read all the reviews. and I have the device which i can tell you IT IS PERFECTION . it IS . and this is experience not the paper specs. and how would you know that this announced device is a perfection on the web experience? it is not released yet.
seems you nokia fans are so excited when you saw at last the finnish guys announced something to call it perfection.
my favorite company is no1 and so i'm used to having perfection in my hands before u nokia guys have it.
good bye my dear nokia electronic engineer

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2009and dear electronic engineer where's your NOKIA HD video re... moreFrom GSMArena review of Samsung i8910:
1- Audio Quality: "The Omnia HD demonstarted passable audio output, getting commendable scores on several of the readings in our traditional audio quality test. We have certainly seen better performers but things aren't hopeless with the Samsung i8910 either.
The most notable problem with the Omnia HD audio quality is its shaky frequency response and cut-off bass frequencies. The intermodulation distortion is also slightly higher than average.
On the positive side the noise level, the dynamic range and the stereo crosstalk readings are excellent. The total harmonic distortion extremely low value is also commendable achievement. And here go the results so you can see for yourselves."
2- Video recording: "Unfortunately, now that we have a retail unit, we're not as impressed with the video quality as we were when we previewed the pre-release version. The Samsung Omnia HD video recording is still miles ahead of the competition but the results in our preview were definitely better. Perhaps the improvement of the audio quality has resulted in lowering of the video quality as a compromise.
The video resolution is no longer stunning as it was and when you add the excessive camera shake, the impression that you're looking at something taken by a dedicated HD digital camcorder is all gone.
In almost all the cases the framerate was variable and went below the promised 24fps giving the videos somewhat choppy looks. We aren't talking disastrously many dropped frames but there are about one every second in some videos. You might not even notice that if shooting slower moving objects but more rapid movements looks bad. The Samsung Omnia HD is not really the soccer mom's dream."
So don't just make your judgments based on paper specs, almost every smartphone looks pretty good on paper, real experience is different though!

i just wondered how an old technology phone like this with just a linux based software, which old motorola phones had ,is a perfection but something like i8910 is not.
and you just said the i8910 recording sucks.
learn not to forget your own statements. i said i8910 is released with the same specs even better things on the portfolio but n900 is just announced. ain't it a good evidence? the same spec with better audio and video released before the other announcement.
this is perfection dear.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2009and dear electronic engineer where's your NOKIA HD video re... moreNo, I wouldn't complain, every phone has its features and every phone has prons and cons, I didn't say i8910 is bad, I didn't say anything about it! You started complaining about N900 saying it's not good, and i8910 is far better, with no evidence for your critique! Meaning that you Samsung fanboys don't love anything but your Samsung phones!
Learn to criticize with prove!

oho, 29 Aug 2009Great, cause I'm an electronic engineer too.
You can get... moreand dear electronic engineer where's your NOKIA HD video recorder? and emm let me say for example with 10 fps. samsung is far ahead from nokia in case of electronics dear electronic engineer.
-you can't get i8910's brightness from TFT display that N900 has
-you can't get the audio quality DNSe 2.0 has with your N900
and i'm sure if samsung made some thing like n900 you nokia guys complained about the poor battery no good video recording and in that case linux would be some thing which sucks.
the GSMARENA team are also complaining about NOKIAs poor devices which are far behind all other devices.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2009ok compare N97 with N900 and you will see what does camoufl... moreGreat, cause I'm an electronic engineer too.
You can get all of these at your N900, except for the HD recording.
And for you to know the HD recording of i8910 sucks, cuz it is at 24fps, and it often record at a lower rate, or just duplicate frames to match 24fps!!
It's not that I'm a Nokia fanboy, or I hate Samsung, I love samsung, they make great devices, but you just have to know the differences between each device.
The N900 is unmatched in its web exploring and OS experience, and that's a fact. Linux is an open-source OS, and it's way more better than Symbian S60 5th edition. The only difference between the N900 an i8910 is the camera, and as I said, is not a deal breaker.

ok compare N97 with N900 and you will see what does camouflaging mean. i know what I'm talking about kuz I'm an electronic engineer and I know how long it takes to become no. 1 in introducing technologies like HD video recording , DNSe, AMOled screens and things like this to mobile phones. ok i will count for you :
- buy a Digital camera with HD video recording capabilities for your photographic purposes
- buy an apple ipod for your musical purposes
- buy a net book for your online experiences
- buy a notebook for your document and gaming purposes
- and at last buy an 1100 ( because it IS NOKIA) for what you call a phone and carry them with yourself in case your 1100 won't do things like that.
