Dd, 29 Aug 2009Unlike other buyers I want to hear the bad sides of n900... moreResistive screens are basically made of layers on top of each other, which is why they need a stylus or something hard to force pressure on it (so the phone registers the input).

data entry tends to be more precise. So it's not that the screen is necessarily more precise, but the tool used on it is.
-------------------------

Capacitives are known for gorgeous displays with fuller, more vibrant color, but users input data using a finger, which isn't too exact.

Dd, 29 Aug 2009Unlike other buyers I want to hear the bad sides of n900... moreYes, it is 1320mAh battery, but the number isn't everything, it may last long enough, we shall wait and see.
About the portrait, no one really knows just yet, no video or anything viewing it in portrait (except during calls) but also no word about it is not there, so we shall also wait and see.
It has FM radio and FM transmitter.
No wording yet about the compass, but let's hope it's there.
About the resistive, it can be very responsive almost as capacitive, but I heard that Nokia are already now working on an Optical Touch-screen which is better than both, resistive and capacitive.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2009Are you sure it has FM stereo? According to the specs, it hasn't.Well, there is an FM transmitter so there must be an FM receiver as well

I want to hear the bad sides of n900!
                  Is 1320mah battery strong enough?
                  No portrait mode?
                  NO fm radio?
                  No digital compass?
Nokia phone always lack something to be perfect

And this is Not iPhone killer! If nokia want to kill iPhone and to remain nmber one , well offer me capacitive screen and multitouch phone this year ! Nokia. Can't make all their touch phone resistive screen!! Is resistive screen really that good ? Is capacitive is really that bad?

Way too heavy, not slim enough, new OS, so will have to wait months before getting good apps, but anyway if i had to choose between this phone and the N97, i would buy the N900, the specs are just better...this is not an iPhone killer or a Samsung Omnia HD killer...maybe one day Nokia will realize that the competition is killing them slowly!

1gb of application memory and opengl es 2.0 graphics acceleration. the result is pc-like multitasking, allowing many applications to run simultaneously. switching between applications is simple, as all running content is constantly available through the dashboard. the panoramic homescreen can be fully personalized with favorite shortcuts, widgets and applications.

I em very happy nokia5800xm user, i use my phone that much that i must recharge everyday, i use much more than my laptop, i mean laptop maybe ones in week for backup photos and videos, but now this n900 will be out sun, i will have it hard to change my mind and OS to be adapted to new OS, but i think i have to do that, but the only thing will change my mind is if Nokia makes one other n900 with on screen keyboard just like the n5800xm, than I'll wait for it, otherwise this is best from the rest phone.

The N810 had 1500 mAh battery. The N900 has smaller and drains more power??? It's awful...
