For The whole portrait mode, Go to application manager & download CSSU transitions tuner keeping all the repositories enabled.. Once installed, it will appear under "settings" menu. Open it & "check" on "force rotation enabled". Then save the settings & reboot if asked. Ur N900 will now function in whole portrait mode, including music player, messages etc..
If U want to have more fun with GUI, download "theme customizer" from application manager & customize the theme of ur N900 the way U want.. It includes, font style,size, colour & other features... :)

nokia n900 is an excellent phone but is waiting 4 the adobe flash player 10.1 update.NO flash player update available 4 this device is the biggest fail ever.this poor behaviour will sure not help selling the new nokia products.

But now you have better choices. Best things to buy combo, buy good android phone and go to mugen power batteries, buy battery with 2-3 time capacity. It will increase the width of phone, but u will be happy.

my n900 headphone jack seem to be little bit loose whenever i put earphone in it i can hear the song in left side but in right side it break and come .can anybody tell me wt the exact problem i m facing i have also changed my earphone but still probelm is same :(

shiraz, 22 Sep 2011boss how can i upgrade the fhash player.thanx shirazif i am not mistaken, there is no official way of upgrading the flash version, however, you can check out "tweak flash plugin version", i think it is available on extras repositories... it just change the flash plug-in version reported on sites, but what youre really using is still 9.4

Did anyone ever try to boot the Anna Bella os on this beast of a superphone.
That will be a great dual boot for the Nokia n900.

The crazy thing, the other day a colleague brought a 1996 Nokia to the office. The weight was the same.
Nice phone, works great. Still sorry consider it a mistake since hardly any support there
