        Hi Theo

No that is not the usual. Here are the battery life hints I posted back on July 29th

        2) Helpful Hints on Energy Management

        a) If you do not care about WCDMA then switch from DUAL to GSM. Some operators who have non-optimize 3G networks can have an issue with people who have oder SIM cards on GSM.

        b) Make sure your WLAN "show availability" in Tools/Connection is set to "never"

        c) Do not leave Bluetooth On unless you are using it for an accessory

        d) Do not set the HDD as your "memory in use" for messaging (SMS, MMS). HDD is not optimised for mesaging

see my July 29th post for other helpful hints

            Hi

I have experimented around and when I have a full battery, Im in idle mode and I use a playlist that just keeps playing (or random) where I do not keep selecting songs and turning on the LCD backlight. I average approx 10.5-11 hours of music playback consistently. If you start making calls or interact with the UI often (LCD on) you get 8-9 Hrs.

The average song length in my list is about 4 minutes. So 10.5Hrs = 630 minutes is 158 songs. So for 3000 songs of 4 minutes its 19 battery charges.

In a 24 hr day people sleep 8 Hrs, work 8 Hrs, Play/Eat/Drive 8 Hrs (sad isnt it). So realistically 8 Hrs is what you listen to id a day. So you listen to 120 songs a day, 3000 songs means 25 days of listening.

              Dear Rino,
Don't forget that listening of the music takes lots of battery energy and you can hardly afford 100 songs per charge. Lets count: 3000 songs - 30 charges. Not bad for a start :)

perfect great Okay, let's look at that figure again. Three thousand songs. Or, if you prefer, the equivalent of playing non-stop music for a week without listening to the same song twice. How on earth can you fit all that on a mobile phone? i would like to know if we can use the n91 as a sat nav?????anybody know??thanks rino

                  To Mangesh and bridecnoc

AAC: Try asking the Nokia support link http://discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions

Modem - I have used it and have not had the problem. It could be an issue with your carriers way it handles concurrent GPRS connections and incoming calls.

Chip - I was told the N91 has a special audio chip that gives it its great sound. Also I was told it was and will be the only Nseries with this chip for quite a while. Thats all I know

Hi. Just a rumour although i did not hear it. What is sluggish is the gallery application when you open it the first time after getting the phone or replacing the battery. Someone said a while back it must scan the hdd to make the database so as the hdd fills up the gallery takes longer the first time. This is the only thing i have seen. Regards.

i heard that N91 hangs/gets sluggish when the hard disk gets fuller, is this true or just a rumor?

                              Hi Booby

As people know I love the N91 and I am typing this post using WIFI. It is very reliable even for encrypted set ups. The Music souncd quality is amazing. WIFI browsing is very fast. Are there some bugs? - yes like any computer. If you get a device with 1.10SW then they are minimal. Assuming you would want to open up the bix and turn on your device before you buy (i did) then type *#0000# and check the sw for 1.10. Add the podcase application and run over wifi - brilliant

                              Its a great device!!!

                                Haya people,

Intent to buy this one. I have a 6630 and is hard to live it. I am a big Nokia fan. For work purposes, can I get a reliable Wi-Fi connection with Inet?

Need to know how's the menu browzing speed?

Are there any bugs and so on?

                                Much appreciate you opinions.

                                  Hi

Allie: 91-5 : Is the GSM/EDGE-GPRS version not WCDMA 3G (N91-1). The reason why video calling does not work on your firneds N91-5 is not becaus ethe phone doesnt support it but almost all Operators (Orange etc) only offer video calls over 3G . If they offered it over GPRS then the N91-5 would work.

Chetan: Makes sure you have sw version 1.10 (do *#0000# to check) Also see my post from July 29th of helpful hints

Zepplin: I find the camera is as good or better than an N70 and takes video better than an N80. Is there something on th elens of yours? Screen - yeah it coul dhave been QVGA but I was told they chose the std screen to maximize music playeback time and it is a music phone.

                                  Bader - good.

I just bought a N91 . .feel is excellent built .. Looks! even better... The camera is pathetic..all photos are hazy , dull, kinda out of focus... Loudspeaker is less than average ... Screen not at all impressive .. Earpiece not that clear.. Overall 6 on 10.. Waste of money ...
