    Hi

    a) To person that did not leave a name but had a problem after 3 days

    - It sounds to me like you have a dodgy battery cover. If the magnet in the coveris not working well in the cover the phone can think the battery cover is off and parks the hard drive.

    b) Mangesh. Sounds like something fishy from your friends computer made it on your HDD. You should backup the stuff you know is clean on your PC then format your HDD. Use tools/harddrive/options. Use the full format to clean the whole thing up. Also maybe you also need to reset your phone memory as well (*#7370#) access code 12345. Note this will erase and DRM rights/activation keys you have so if you care backup the phone memory using PC suite. IF that doesnt work then you may need to get teh phone sw re-flashed.

    To dave

Go to the Nokia service centre near you,

    pappy

      Hello,

I have just received my N91 this morning have waited quite a while for it.

First impressions are good, look nice (not the best looking phone but if your buying one its certainly not for the good looks)

Yes its heavy, I dont think its too heavy, then again I did not buy it to be a fashion acc.

Its well made and feels sturdy. Operation system and navi are easy and once you start to use it it feels just like my old n70.

Ok onto the reason why you would buy this phone - MUSIC - thats what the N91 is about, yes you get a camera and WIFI but these are just token gifts to make her more saleable -

I have an IPOD with Shure e2c in ear ear phones and this is better. the clarity is second to none. The music buttons make life so easy and the remote now lets you plug your own earphones in so you are not losing the remote should you not wish to use the supplied earphones which I must say are RUBBISH.

In short if you want a really good MUSIC phone with features thrown in then go and buy an N91. And please all the people slating this phone give it a rest, you obvioulsy have bought the wrong phone for you. Go and get a SAGEM.

      Mattjames

I've just purchased the N91 and happy about the sound quality of the music. I'm just wondering if one can connect a transmitter and have the music played on my car, in the same way one does with the iPod.

my n-91 hard disk is defective. after taking a few shot (camera and video) the hard disk broke down. i brought it to the nokia center, however, it did not last for 3 days and i cant access the hard disk again. i am a nokia fans but this piece of phone, the hard disk thing, 4G for that matter is a bad piece of advertisement. now, i have to bring this junk again to the nokia center. i dont know if a bought a lemon. i wish i could return this and maybe get an N80 instead.

                Hi Brad

Sorry you are out of luck. This came up a while back and voda1 answered it. RM158 has no WLAN or 3G chips. Sorry . Why not take a trip to HK and get the RM43 one?

I suspect its the same as everywhere else. Go to the nearest Nokia repair/service centre and ask for one (it should be free).

People keep talking about Nokia doing something where people can update sw at home via the internet...THAT would be great, lets hope so

                        Hi

My purpose - Im hooked on the N91 and when I can help people get over the issues that are usually associated with the new, multi-featured, hand held computers (these were no longer "phones" that Nokia, SE, Moto etc make) and help them enjoy the N91 like I am i feel good about it. So you could say Im doing it for selfish reasons in that I feel good about it.

                                      To Mikey and Adrian

                                      1) Mikey - The default of the phone is set to phone memory (not HDD) so as long as you do not set it to HDD you are okay. You can check by using Messages/Options/Settings/ other

                                      2) To Mikey - MP3's pausing can be caused by corruption in the MP3 file that windows Media Player manages to play thru but what may cause the N91 to pause. You need to figure out the offending MP3 or video, remove it and re-rip it. I had this happen once with a file I got off a P2P. Also If you have been just dragging and dropping your HDD with all the folders from the PC to a replacement N91 you may just be moving the problem again and again on to the new devices and then they appear defective. I would move your stuff in chunks from the PC. Also if you had installed a .SISX file, on your first N91 then copied the HDD contents to the PC. You must not copy the installed files to your new N91, this can screw up Symbian (like it would MSFT if you tried to copy the MS word files from one computer to another. You must re-install the .SISX

                                      3) Adrian; Sorry to hear that . I would avoid using the HDD a message storage (I never had a problem but sme people did). Its a pain anyhow because onceyou selct the HDD then to attach the device using USB mass storage you have to temporily select phone memory to unlick the HDD etc..
