well, i finally decided to get an n91. it's a great phone. it doesn't satisfy me aesthetically but im happy with the music feature. i love listening to music and i do not need an ipod everytime i carry my n91 around. the only trouble im having is that it is slow in sending messages. it's slow in updating. well, i guess it's unique to this phone. but is there something we can do to make the system faster so i can send messages faster?

Well i finally went out and bought the N91 8GB edition.Its amazing
+: BT stereo is awesome. I was skeptical but it really sounds great
+: UPNP..ok I havent really tried it yet but i will get the sw for my PC and see
+: 8GB of data, not any slower than 4GB version
+: WDRM (althought 4GB with 2.x sw has that)
+: Cool black look
+: Application downloader to download PODCAST, Lifeblog, Office aps, and other apps
+: New Gallery that acts more like a gallery (to showcase stuff) and File manager on the active idle (which makes it easy to manage files)
+: Very stable SW Id say probably better than 2.10 on the 4GB
+: Cool visualizations that you can play while the music is going.
Its brilliant
-: Same screen resolution of N91 4GB
-: No deskstand included (at least in the sales pack I have. That is perhaps why the starting price is relatively low compared to when the N91 4GB origially came out??)
-: Read the User tips to understand how the Gallery behaves. It confused me a bit a first. (only sees Images, Videos and Gallery directory etc)
It was tough to find in the UK but i ordered it and when it arrived...its great!

need a bit of help. my n91 is haven problems booting up, it continues to say nokia over and over. the only way i can use my phone, is without the battery cover, but as soon as i put it back on, it shuts off and starts rebooting again.

this is a great phone, the problem whit the sms is whit older versions(not all n91 have this problem), you can do:
1) update your software to version 2.10
2) download the sms Accelerator:

In reply regarding slow sending sms, they all do it! I have now tried sending sms through over 20 of these phones, they will send fine with nothing stored on the hard drive, but as said previously, the more on you hard drive the slower the phone will run. As far as your contacts name not being displayed, this is a network issue, and they need to send sim updates through to your handset.

This phone is awfull if you want something reliable. I sell phones for a living, and got this thing as its a bit different than most other things on the market. However Im now on my third one, main problem is it too slow responding once you start to fill the hard drive. Everytime my phone goes wrong nokia have it for three to six weeks, realise they cant fix it so have to send out a new one. Dont buy one, the majority of Nokias with Symbian software have a nack of constantly going wrong! Although its not as bad as the 6280.

men! i have a nokia n91, a lot of space for music and videos, but it takes too long to send a text message, how can i make it faster?

oh an another problem i am facing that is unique to the N91 when it comes to sms sender recognition that i have not faced in any other nokia phone i've used before it is this.
say i save a phone number in the contacts book as 030012345678 and assign name 'sarah', when i get a call from this number it would show in the caller ID as 'sarah'
but when 'sarah' would sms me, it would not recognize the number as it would show as '+9230012345678' (showing area code). previously i have never had this problem with my phone. if i save the phone number in the contacts with the area code, then when 'sarah' would call, it would not show her name, but it would show her name when the sms would come in from her.
am i having major problems or what? please help me out here, i am sure this is some fix for this problem and the pnes listed below. hmm. this N91 is becoming a social embarrassment for me.

HEY ALL, having problems w/ my n91. i upgraded my Firmware to V.2.10.013. i was having probs with harddive stored sms and phone used to freeze when smsing at times when i would have to take out battery n restrat the phone. with msgs i could see them in inbox but not open them. still having the same problem. however w/ phone memory based sms, there is no problem. after upgrade, the HD based sms still cannot be read. do not know yet if phone stops freezing or not.
2- how do i change the way phone book contacts are displayed. i want to be able to see them based on FIRST name first, N91 shows last name first. i cant figure out how to change this.
3- when backing up contacts out of 800 contacts only about 531 are transferred to my PC. in fact PCsync only sees 531 while on the phone book in the phone it shows more than 800.
please help.

The only problem at my n91 is because of its body construction a lot of dust go betvin the glass and the lcd.What can i do?Do you know how to open the phone to clean the dust from inside.I do not have guarantee so i am on my own!

hey guys... I have been enjoying this awesome phone since summer 2006. Nokia n91 is a really good cell phone,b/ i t has a lot of space for the music you love..... It also has incredibly good sound.... I will recomend you all to buy this phone... you will love it, as i do....

u can get all the applications from limewire if u have one other wise u ca n download it from soft-best.net and on search (programs) just type nokia applications and ull get a list of the apps available.

hey guys.....i really wanted to buy ths as it has awesome sound n lots of space.it is being sold here in india for Rs-19000(ie $430 approx)...the only prob s tht it doesnt hav the 3g & wlan....which honestly does'nt matter me much as the services r nt available here....so do u think tht i should go for ths fone for the above quoted price??

im goin 2 auction my n91 at ebay. As soon as ive sold it & get my money back, im going 2 buy N80. I think N80 is much better dan N91. Becos N80 can do a lot more things besides music. And i would luv 2 see in person d screen of N80. They say its fantastic. I cant wait 2 have N80.
