all you guys who complains abt dis fone r major whiners man!!. complaining abt the video n de camera quality. grow up u want pic buy urself a digicam. for gods sake dis is a fone not a celestial creation. get a life...........i have dis fone for 4 mths not a single complain anazing camera n video.....look at de speed it has 3 processors.........32 class gprs n edge n wifi. how many features can 1 ask 4.

everyone should know by now that the n93 wont take still as good as the n73 because the image sensor is physically smaller than the one on the n73 and a few of the other n series phones. you have to remember the optical zoom takes more room than the fixed zoom so they had to use a smaller sensor so the phone wouldnt be any larger than it already is. personally i can live with the lower image quality because of the great video quality and optical zoom. an optical zoom is far more usable than a digi zoom. if you want to compare cameras i say some one should compare a k800 image at 2x zoom vs n93 image at 2x and then all this camera sux crap will be dismissed. just my $.02 :)

nokia n93 is a great phone.it has almost dvd like video quality.you can also play high res. videos in this little device.it has a carl-zeiss vario tessar lens which is preety god.i am happy with this device.those who dont have it should buy it coz it is a great device.

Trust me i tried every setting, and of course i'm going to use the zoom, that's what it is there for.
The n93 is a great phone, i crnt argue at that, but the camera doesn't compete with the n73 or k800i, yes the video camera is good, but its a sad day when my nokia 6280 took a better picture then any of my 40 nokia n93 could.
R.I.P nokia N93 returned to phones 4 u on 16/12/06.
They offered me 18 month contract £130 cash back, 6 months half price line rental and after 15 months they would give me a new contract new phone and buy out my remaining months, i turned that down and stuck with my 6280

Comparison of N-93 should be made at same light condistions. N-93 should be set at wide ie; 0 zoom.Take pictures & should be compared

N-73 & 73 use Carl Zeiss optics. N-73 uses fixed lens while N-93 uses a movable lens for the simple reason that N-93 has optical zoom.
N-93 could have more lens elements to correct
spherical, chromatic abberation as is the case with any camera zoom lens

I'm not sure about if they have the same camera i just know i was gutted, when we took pictures next to each other i was gutted that mine didn't come close to the n73, I have to admit that the video quality is pritty good, but even trying to take pictures is a little tricky. apart from that i dnt think the phone is too big and if people do, then simple dnt buy the phone. just please all stay away from phones 4 u, they lie to get there xmas bonus

I was just wondering...Do the N93 and the N73 have the same camera? Are they the same quality?? Is one better than the other? Or is it just matter of opinion

I have waited for this phone for so long, and i'm afraid to say i am disapointed, i went to see the kooks last night and I had my n93 my mate had his n73 and his pictures kicked the ass out of mine, i took close to 30 pictures and i didn't keep one, i tried every combination possible to get a decent picture in the dark and it just cannot be done.I will be taking my phone bk on saturday. It nearly killed me writing what i just did.

It say's that it is 3.15 Megapixel. It really is 3.2 because I even have one.

Firmware is like an OS for mobile phones. It tells the phone what to do when a call is received. What to do when you press keys etc.
The latest firmware for N-93 is 20.0.058.
Phones were launched with 10.0.028 updated to 11.0.034. Nokia has a update portal . One can update firmware using Nokia software updator
or NSU. Right now update portal is dummy. Therefore you need to visit a Nokia Care.
The entire update process takes about 20 minutes.
