Hi, any n93 user, can you tell if its possible to open the phone with one hand and answer the call? i mean for example if you are driving and phone rings you open the phone with on hand and start talking while keeping the other hand on steering

Some naysayers say that its a disappointment, and all of them mentions the picture quality. Well its not the best, I agree. But this phone's strength is the video quality, which haters forget to mention! lol. Its the greatest! Download the videos in any review of this phone, and you will see...

          again cybershot wins...

this is taken from the n93 review made by gsmarena...

"Just to sum up for the most impatient - we are not so pleased with its performance. Read further on for more details. "

I noticed that the photos were taken by nokia n73 are better than which taken by n93,cause of optical zoom is this true?
            if that,could be fixed manually?
            thank you..

One more thing... with a bluetooth keyboard, this phone can be used as an Internet terminal for browsing on TV!!

My experience with N93 when i got it when it 1st launched 1 week back. Took some photos with it, after that i upload into the PC which i always did.

Saw plenty of noises b4 editing it. it became even worst after ive edited them. :( very sad to say that i used it for 1 day, after which i sold the phone at a loss. :( It's a very disappointing phone. it doesn't deliver what was seems like a promising phone which i do not need to buy a digital camera.

My previous N90 works beta than my canon Ixus and i brought my N90 on 3 of my holidays ive been this year. it never fails me in anyway other than the calls without the vibration.

I regretted selling my N90 for N93. im currently using n73 which is far beta in terms of photo n sound quality. at least n73 is loud enough whereas n93 is way too soft. vibration is weak too. :(

So far Nokia have not given me any feedbacks on why the photo quality is so poor. I feedback to them after ive found out that the quality of the still image is very bad. they seems to be so confident of their products that they don't see flaws b4 they actually launch the products. i don't think any firmware is able to solve this problem. a hardware replacement plus a software upgrade would b the best solution. hope nokia sees this message.

i must give credits to nokia for making such a wonderful phone like the n93 bu it doesn't deliver results. very sad. no doubt it's a WiFi ready phone n the OS is among N Series, the fastest. it doesn't takes long for the phone to startup. other than that, i dun see a reason for buying a n93. it's a overprice gadget.

infact i use the $$$ to buy a sony T-10 cybershot which produces 7.2megapix n with 3x digital zoom, same lens used on the N93 which cost me SGD$545nett. i still have remaining $$ to buy a samsung D900 which cost SGD$660nett. I still have balance of $83 which i use to buy a transcend 2GB miniSD for my N73 which cost SGD$65, i still balance $18. imagine im using a n93, i cun afford to have so much spare to buy other stuff.

do calculate properly b4 buying n93. it's definitely not worth my time n $ over a n93. all thanks to the quality of the n93 which wakes me up from delusions. hope it helps guys.

                Cheers!

this question is for n73 and n93 owners....
wel.. i have seen that the still image quality of n73 is better then n93...but ofcourse video quality is good of n93...My other question is that which mobile has clear sound and loud sound from external speakers?? n73 or n93?? and how many speakers do n93 have 2 or 1?

I just bought this N93 black, three days ago. I just love this phone! So far so good, knock on wood! Believe it or not I used up my SE T610 for about 3 plus years and it's been a good 3 abusive years and it's time to step my game up. I was so close to buying K800i or N73,but for a few hundred dollars more I saved up for the N93,it's worth every penny! My suggestion is to save up for this phone, forget n73,n80,get this one! This phone is not slow at all and I'm still in the process of mastering the features, and up until now, I'm not even half way there! Still messing around with sms, mms, gprs, webpages(the web browser is awesome!),applications, ringtones, pictures everything works great so far! I have not fully mastered or utilized the camera or the video, just a tiny bit. I haven't used the P.C synch just yet, still searching forums for the right information regarding the use of NOkia PC Suite. You can spend hours with this phone, you won't notice the time! Don't bring it to work!hahaha.

                      Pros:

Everything! But there's always an exception to everything. Hahaha, when are we going to be satisfied!

                      Cons:

Battery life! I use it almost continuesly for two days and this is without using the camera or the video playback. It lasted only about 12 hours, mind you,the phone was hardly on standby,I just can't help messing around with it! I have anticipated this so I bought three original Nokia batteries. Take my word for it, you'll need that much! Such a shame just when you were having fun using your N93 and you need to wait to recharge the unit. NO WAY! I'm hooked on this phone! If you can afford a phone of this caliber, then you surely can afford some extra batteries. If you don't,it's like filling up your BMW X5 4.4L with regular unleaded instead of super unleaded.Just doesn't make sense.

Build quality on some places seemed a little fragile in the following areas:

1.Charge jack is so tiny and fragile.I prefer the larger jack size than this pin thin jack.

2.Plastic Back Battery Cover is so thin and fragile. The plastic hinges on either side of the cover is so thin, it's like thinner than your finger nail and smaller than a pin head. Nokia should revise or make an upgrade,at least to the plastic hinges. Make them just a mm thicker or use metal clips. I would not suggest opening and closing the back cover often. I will go and buy a spare or two of back covers just in case it breaks. Nokia, for such an expensive phone, I wouldn't mind paying for an alloy back cover or make it from a thicker material.

3.The rubber caps for the USB-PC synch and Memory card are also fragile and won't last if you keep on taking them off. I would suggest getting a big memory card, I got 2 Gig so you won't have to swap memory cards(or at least minimize swapping cards) thus minimizing wear and tear on these fragile rubber caps. Nokia,I would suggest making the cover of the USB-Synch card from thicker rubber or latch type plastic such as in slim digicam like Casio EXslim cams. I would buy spare rubber caps,2 or three. They are tiny and sooner or later I'll lose them both. So I suggest using the Bluetooth,WLAN,Wifi,Infrared as often as possible rather than opening and reinstalling the rubber caps. Isn't that what wireless technology is all about?

                      3. Plastic lens cap should be made out of elastic rubber not from hard stiff plastic. Make it similar just make it out of reasonably thick rubber,no clips just snug enough to cover the main lens.

                      4. Speaker aren't that good, but who cares, the feature-rich phone makes up for it.

                      5. Swivel mechanism, I hope it will last. I would suggest using less stiff material and more elastic matterial such as pliable alloy that I have on my desk like a goose neck for holding books, papers, etc as I type on the computer.

Other than that this is a great phone! I just love it! Thank god I didn't get the n73 because I think n73 is an ugly phone and no wonder tons of people returned the white trimmed phone at my local cell dealer. Yes,the bugs and hang issue with n73 is true. My friend has one, lucky I was on a waiting list and got n93 instead. W

Worth every penny, so save up people!

Oh yeah, and one thing that I missed from my old SE T610 is that can attached photo on you contact list(for example you contact name is "gaby" and you attached her picture to her contact profile)and it will show up when gaby called you or smsed you with my SE T610 but unable to show her pic in my n93 when she sms me. I like this feature while driving,at a restaurant, etc cos you don't really have to grab your phone to see who smsed you. I'm a heavy texter so I really miss this feature on such a feature packed phone. Can anybody tell me if I can make this work with received sms?

I love this phone! Might get k800i for a spare phone so I can minimize tear and wear on my N93 coz I'm planning on using my n93 for longer than I used my SE T610.

guys im sooo torn apart between N93 and P990i!!! I need a communicator with wifi and a good digital camera! im hesitating on the n93 coz of the bad noisy pics and the huge size!!! im hesitating on the p990i because of the hard to use software (unlike nokia's user friendly software) and software bugs that im hearing all over the net! Yet i like the p990 becoz of the keyboard+stylus+numeric keypad which is a big convenience, plus the high quality pictures by sony blow nokia away despite lower resolution. and i also like nokia becoz of the VGA 30fps videos and TV-out function which is so great to show off! im sooo torn guys! i have the money but which one to spend on???

Self timer you can put it upside down or on the back of the phone, you will just have to rotate the picture in edit menu.
