from what I've experience on my unit and from what I 've seen on other n95s
it doesnt blink as well

I just purchased a nokia n95 yesterday and I love it. My boyfriend's got an iphone and it's great and all with the touch screen plus slightly faster internet connectivity/download, but the n95 is better in respect to its function capabilities. Both are great phones with their differences but I still like the n95 better :D

Is the n95 capable of what the iphone 3g can do as far as internet. Can the n95 do internet explorer...etc?

dear sir dilip I only have an n95-1 (not the 8gb version)
btw...Mine doesnt blink as well...hehe tried looking for someone who can modify the redlight by opening the phone and putting a tape on the circuitry to make the white led flash stronger and totally eliminate the red flash and from what I've seen other people's n95 dont seem to blink as well...

there are genuine n95's manufactured in china
but if you are sure that that is the CECT(fake) n95 then it isnt good...
its good as a phone by itself but feature wise....it lacks a whole lot
-poor quality of camera even though it is at the size of 2 megapixel (1600x 1200) fake n95's indicate that it has 5 megapixels but if you'd look at the picture details it is only at 2 megapixel at it's highest settings
and the quality isnt even near that of a true 2 megapixel camera phone...even 6600 vga camera is better in quality!!!!
and the camera is very slow in poor light and even when recording videos and the size is only at 176x144 or QCIF...which is very poor nowadays
-no wifi
-no themes you can only use wallpapers as themes
-multimedia keys arent multimedia at all you can only use it as music player
-if it is touchscreen most likely it doesnt slide down which also means no multimedia(music) keys
dual band only
-gprs only.... no edge, 3g, hsdpa
video player cannot handle 30fps

in my n95 doesnt blink as well it wasnt blinking on my 6630 too...it may seem that the light sensor on n73 is special?
hmm...come to think of it...having a blue blinking nbblight on the front of the phone is just battery consuming hehehe

see next to ur front camera,there will be a small square-like glass,very small,but u can see it with ur eyes.i read it im my user guide , it says it is a ambient light sensor,in n73, it blinks in blue color.but in n95 it does not

All I can say is, it will take a customer so much brand loyalty to nokia to still prefer the N96 over Samsung INNOV8 i8510. Samsung INNOV8 i8510 is the new king now! Nokia's plans are not focused on 8MP camera phones. They are more inclined to developing touchscreen phones for the moment. See, Nokia's future devices are N79, N85 which are still on 5MP, and 5800, the first S60 touch UI.

The main thing keeping people form buying the n95 instead is the iPhones touch screen and large display which is of less importance than the many things the n95 offers.
