Can some techno-junky tell me how many bits the 16M colour screen is?? I know that 65536 colour screen uses 16bit technology but I am not certain about the recent 16M screens. Windows mobile cannot seem to cope because 16M colours would slow down speed because of the WM OS. The Symbian OS seems to be far more adaptable to the newer screens which are now at max capability in terms of colour palette.

Lets admit the fact that most or all of us wants to have our moneys worth specially when buying phones. Like in my case, I trade-in my n80 for n95 not bec its the latest phone in the nseries but bec i know what i really want from this phone. Many of us here kept on fighting, comparing and always dragging the disadvantages of the phone. Its just like a clean white paper, if you're going to put a small dot of ink in the paper, the tendency is just throw it away and just get another paper.(we all hope we can just throw and buy another phone bec there is a small problem like the battery life or whatever small problem that we have)we dont even bother to look the whole white paper and that we can still use it.(or do something to elliminate or even minimize the cause of the problem). As I had said, we all want to have our money's worth. The best thing that i can advised is to shop around first and think 1000x before buying a certain phone. Decide on what you really want for your phone and what works for you best and don't just relay on what others would say about the phone's disadvantages. Although they said that firsthand experience is the best teacher. Yes! it's true but not all you hear and see is believable. Afterall, this companies will be developing a more advance phone that will surpasses our phones today but as always,CAN'T HAVE THE PERFECT PHONE...

I work in a retailer and this is my #1 seller. I have had only a small handful with issues, the majority of people bringing them back just do not understand how to use the handset. Out of all handsets this is actually a very reliable model. Excellent phone.

N95, while packed with features it is annoying because it's so slow. Once you start to fill the memory card and the contacts is slows down and stuffs up and freezes all the time. It's not worth the price tag for a phone that sucks this bad. Give me a K800i over this any day.

There is an almighty battle brewing. It is over screens. Windows mobile are going for VGA screens with 262K colours eg Eten X800 and I-mate Ultimate 8150. Nokia are going for QVGA screens with 16M colours eg N93i and N95. The question is what will the imminent new Nokias offer ie the mysterious N81, N82, and N97. Will Nokia go for the big fish ie VGA AND 16M screen?? Imagine the vivid screen experience that would give on a 2.6 inch such as the N95.

there shouldn't be an issue with the non-nokia card... only the realibility and life of the card itself will be affected, not the sound quality or watever... I think SanDisk actually makes better cards than Nokia tbh...

Personally im looking to get one of those 8gb SDhc's.

i bought a memory card sandisk micro sd 2gb, there's any difference between this card and a nokia card with also 2gb? cause nokia cards are more expensive! the type of card change anything in the quality of image and sound of the phone?

I've had my N95 for about 4 days now. Got a couple things to say...

Overall the phone met my expectations.

                                  1) The camera is VERY good, although the high jpg compression tends to be a problem in which quality is key. That being said, the picture quality is well above average and well above the level of the n73 which tends to take over exposed, over saturated pictures. The flash is kinda weaksauce, but what can you expect from a phone?

                                  2) The Symbian OS scores again. Interface is great, features are great (w00t i can set a different alarm time for every single day of the week, LOL)... until it freezes. Yah thats right, in 4 days my phone has frozen twice... and it's brand new. That being said, a quick battery removal (and then putting it back in, duh)solves this, but it's still kinda annoying and not good for any phone to have.

                                  3) FM Radio has top quality receptions and goes pretty easy on the battery. The problem is, you can't play the radio on loudspeaker.

                                  4) MP3 player is amazing too... although the interface is not perfect, the quality of the sound is up there with sony's W series and mp3 players like the creative zen and the ipod.

                                  5) Form factor is nifty. The phone isn't light but it's not overly heavy. Considering it's features it's fine. Take a good look at your handset when you buy it though, some N95's have an annoying gap between teh two sliders... The first N95 I had had that problem but I went in and got it replaced on warrenty. My new phone has no such problem.

                                  6) Battery life is NOT AS BAD as many people make it out to be. That being said, I have a 4 day old battery.

1 charge = 65min GSM calls + 2h speaker music + 1h headphone music + 15mins gps + 8 pics (3 with flash) + 30mins wi-fi web browsing + 30minutes games + 1 hour FM radio (headphone)+ 7h standby. Not amazing, but usable. If you go nuts on the phone and use all its features like I did the first day I got it, the phone will last a whole day nicely allowing you to charge it while you sleep and start all over again. If you were to use it like a regular feature phone (moderate talk time and a few text messages) it would last about 4-5 days. Yesterday I talked only about 15 minutes, sent 4 text messages and took a photo... rest of the time on standby. The 7 bar battery gauge still shows full and it's been 30hours since i charged it...

Overall a good phone. Just wonder how it'll stand up to the test of time.

Gorav you make some negative statements about the N95 yet customers like Brynn are more than satisfied. In fact more people in this forum praise than prowl the phone. Remember this is an international forum so I don't know where you attain your statistics from. I think you're exaggerating your return rate. As for Madpanas and Andy Burgin there has been no official confirmation of the N series you mention esp the mysterious N97.
