w0w 3gp f0rmat video(l0west class of video quality in ph0nep) l0oks sharper and l0oks great in a 16 milli0n c0l0ur screen with it is a 2.6 inch screen. Thats great multimedia baby! 3gp videos uses small am0unt of space in the memry card and l0oks great in my n95. 16milli0n screen really has a big diffrens fr0m 256k of all SE ph0nes. F0r SE fanb0ys here in the site, start c0unting fr0m 256k to 16milli0n. Then p0st it if whats da big result will be.ü g0od luck!

            To tommi,

Its expected that n95 should not restart whenever you install software. But it does restart whenever you upgrade the firmware. Its for your advantage when you upgrade your firmware to v12. Dont expect that you will have your phone's battery change it's performance. It will just remain the same. The phone's performance will be improve. If you dont want to upgrade your firmware, and you just want to improve you phone's performance and remove the auto restart, just reformat your phone. It's like defraging your PC or refreshing the system of your phone. DO you know how to do it??

It works all the time specially with nokia phones. I've been using this for 4 years now. And didnt waste a single peny for repairs.

If you have difficulties on your phone just post it and if i have time, I'll be glad to assist you with that.

"Can some techno-junky tell me how many bits the 16M colour screen is?? I know that 65536 colour screen uses 16bit technology but I am not certain about the recent 16M screens. Windows mobile cannot seem to cope because 16M colours would slow down speed because of the WM OS. The Symbian OS seems to be far more adaptable to the newer screens which are now at max capability in terms of colour palette."

16M colors simply make no sense on such a little screen, that's why WM does not support it. Count the pixels and you will see how many different colors you can actually have!

to butch cassidy and the sun dance kid:
firstly, please go back to gr.2 and learn how to spell. and tell your mommy not to let you on the computer after 8 to discuss phones with adults. secondly, the issue is not about the clearness, it's about a brighter picture. why did you completely ignore the fact that I told you the n73 has twice the kb's for the same picture as the n95? but when you go outside to take a picture with the n95 in the daytime, the kb's are much more than the n73 for the same picture.

                            i l0ve this ph0nes c0l0ur a 16 milli0n c0l0rs. I can see m0re clearly than my previ0us ph0ne that have only 64k to 256k c0l0urs. Its like a plasma n lcd screen vs for a standart tv. The screen sharper and bright in 16 milli0n c0l0rs. And whats g0od b0ut n95 is it g0t the 2.6 inch screen. Widescreen baby, for a ph0ne.ü by the way the n80 ph0ne d0nt sup0rt 16m c0l0rs. The dim view can be changd, it dpends on the setting. Maybe y0ur juz a cr0ss-eyed anti n95 freak dude.

All you people who moan about such and excellent phone are a pain in the bum, I work in a panasonic shop and you remind me of the customers who spend £500 and then demand so much 15 year warranty a blood transfusion and world peace. All electronic devices have drawbacks and I can live with them because i know that not everything is perfect and never will be. you haters are like VAMPIRES. N95 not for everybody but it is for me. I have even warned people who dont use a phone to it's full potential and dont understand s60 to stay away from the nseries. but im pretty smart and mine works like a dream

                                      8 bit screen 256 colours
                                      12 bit screen 4096 colours
                                      16 bit screen 65536 colours
                                      18 bit 262,144 colours
                                      24 bit 16.7 million colours

Some of these newer lcd teles emit 7 billion colours but remember all these colours amount to better shading and colour depth,,i prefer the 262k screens on mobiles as 16 million colours tend to dim the display and can increase power consumption and is not really visible to the human eye unless the screen is reaally big and shading between adjacent pixels has a chance to take effect,,for e.g. the 2.6 inch screen on n95 only gives a small distance in which to change colours gradually so its not as effective as a 64 inch lcd that can change colours over a better distance or shade gradually. The n6131 has avery dim screen and thats using 16million colours also the n80 i have has a dim screen and their are too many pixels per cm..Some people ask why screensavers work even tho their written at 65k colours well thats what you get only 65k colouring in fact a lot of stuff we were using at 65k still remains most of the time so thats the amount of colours we theoretically see..When nokia moved from 6630 model to 6680 model most people could not see any difference in the 262k 6680 model and thats because all the wallpapers and screensavers were written at 65k ??
I like the crispness and briteness of the 262k screen,,my choice and opinion,,hope this helps mjzx,,,,,

I love my phone, but in this review it very wrongly says the standby is upto 220h. and 24h is more like it, which is 1/10th of the real standby time. If not for it, I can't think of anything bad about my joy and pride of a nokia N95. It does freeze up at times and tend to be a pain , but come on it is yet another electronic device, and is great...Camera is brilliant! GPS is awesome, but I wish Nokia did give in navigation free too....for those who are not happy with it, you can always get the better option of going to install Tomtom 6 on it and use it...so Nokia should try to give in navigation free in their future phones if they are to stop competition from Tomtom 6 or rather face it firmly....The design flaw of the inbuilt GPS receiver being placed behind the keypad is fine, I mean its such a fully loaded phone, and a simple flaw like that is liveable....once you upgrade firmware, the performance is much better....nokia when is the next N series coming up?I will certainly go for it if you can free up the flaws mentioned here!!! cheers!
