so check it out, yall. I am a proud owner of N95. I must say, this phone is the best, that is "WOULD" be the best - if it didn't have the infernal problems that everyone has been talking about.
SLIDER - I am on my second unit now, purchased from TigerDirect.com. 1st unit had terrible play in the slider. Current one is much better. Still a little play, but I would totally live with it. (perhaps some sticky tape to fix)
BATTERY - IMHO, the battery is just fine. Sure, you have to charge it every day, but big deal. I have to do that now w/ my samsung d900. Sometimes, I make it thru 1.5 days with my nokia. I don't really use all the features all the time, just mainly calls, txt msg, take some pics, and show em off. As a music player, i got about 5 hrs - i did this not only to test it out, but to drain the battery completely for a fresh charge. I can imagine the GPS is a battery hog, tho, so get a car charger - it's cheap.
WHINE - This to me is the biggest flaw, and a total dealbreaker. Both units I tried have this problem. I have sensitive ears I guess, because I ask people if they hear it, and maybe 30% can hear this high pitched buzzing noise. It almost sounds like noise cancelling feature, but NOT! It is really irritating.
My 2nd unit is going back, too. My freind bought his from mobilebee.com, and his is perfect. No slide wobble, and no hiss. I am going to try one from them. Dammm, by the time it will be all over, my shipping fees will prolly be >$100.
Bottom line, this phone is DOPE, just keep trying for a good quality unit. It will be worth it.

Yes I read about the sticky tape fix for the slider,im going to try it.I've had two replacement n95's and really don't want to have to send this one back.The phone is quite good but it's build quality is not what you'd expect for 500gbp.My phone also reboots itself and has call clarity issues If only nokia had sorted out a couple of things this phone could be up there with the best.

How can the secondary video call camera be CIF if it takes photos of resolution 640x480? i think you have a slight error.

@ the guy who said about the slider fault.
There are two fixes for this that i have seen on the web, one involves a sticky pad one involves tape.

Did anyone have any problem with their calls. My phone was working fine suddenly today its started acting weird. When i call a number its has some kind of noise in the background. I tried to restart the phone few times it didnt help. Does anyone know how to fix it Please let me know its bothering me. '

I was wondering why the N93 and the N95 are nearly the same price?
I cannot see it, N95 has 5mp N93 3
N95 GPS - N93 doesnt.
I just want a phone with a great camera
I dont need all the other features because I wont use them anyways

Yeh I saw an ad. abuot giving something like a 7 day trial on the GPS?
crappy rip off, because of thatI wont buy it.
Dont give me bs that it has gps and so when you actualy have only a map.
And if you want gps you pay.

tq very much 4 ur prompt reply! may i know how u successfully view ur videos? I've tried it thru e 'utube beta' under 'video centre' but i only succeed in loading e video thumbnails w/o running e video clips. Btw, how does tis software works? Am i able 2 view any video clips as found in e utube web browser (pc version)? tx again 4 ur prompt reply!

n73 is only slighter louder than n95 but n95 sounds better...then it goes 6233 and the rest phones

WARNING TO ALL!
Fact! The Nokia N95 has a construction fault that causes the slider to rattle between the two parts when opened to reveal the keypad.
The problem appears on 3 out of every 100 handsets on purchase. However, a further 23 out of every 100 will develop the problem over time.
Nokia will never announce this problem publicly as the cost or replacing all returned phones will be too high for them.
However, i have to admit, for the luck ones who will not suffer from this construction fault - enjoy it, for it IS the greatest phone on the market, and will be for a long time coming.

Anyone here can tell me which info more accuarate about n95 battery? Regarding gsmarena is 95mAh but refer to the nokia forum is 1100mAh. see this http://forum.nokia.com/devices/N95

Ok, Now it's my turn to post my opinion related to GPS, where the people are saying that doesn't work and stuff.
I don't know where you all guys live but here for start, the package includes a memory card with 512Mb with maps included for 2 countries (where I live and other). It contains also a register code for not to pay for 1 year the GPS navigation (voice comands included, you don't have to pay).
The GPS works perfectly, only took long on the first time, now it's great. Maybe I'm at one place that has better signals, i don't know but it works.
The rest of the phone is working just fine, the camera and video amazzing and the sound it's like a MP3 player. Ok the headsets are not the best, maybe not, but then i can use the ones that cost me much for the MP3 player, since the jack is the same.
Since there are not perfect phones or perfect anything, this has some faults (recharch battery cannot be donne by USB and the battery doesn't take long) but if you all think better, you cannot have a phone with all this features and the battery take longer or if you use it much, like me now for trying the phone. The laptops are the same, if you use it much, the battery is gone fast.
In general i love this phone and I'm a person that loves technology, so don't through stones and say bad things about it because is not true!

hi! does any1 know if n95 support utube watching? Under e 'video centre', 'add new service', there's a 'utube beta'. May i know wat's tat n if it supports mobile utube watching? Tx!

Picked mine up today on O2. Solid construction, decentslider though i see why people may have problems. Luckily so far mine isnt wobbling etc. Got it charging as we speak. So tempting to play on it but I know that the battery is gonna b temperamental enough without me shortening its life by not fully charging it.
Had a quick play as I left the shop. Other than a slightly slower startup and menu transition than other handsets, I dont notice much wrong with it. Excellent speaker quality and gorgeous huge screen.. Cant wait to really test the fone.
