To Coffee girl and Baby:

I think the rumoured N99 is a fake/concept version. Sometimes they are true...

Some GPS information copied from Nokia's site:

"Q: What is the difference between route planning and navigation?

      A:

Route planning is a free feature. It calculates and displays a route between two locations. A route simulation (with voice commands) is also possible (free of charge).

Navigation is an extra service, which is available for purchase. Navigation means that the route is calculated from the user's GPS position to a chosen destination. The navigation is voice-guided, meaning it tells the user how to get to the desired destination step by step (for example, "in 300 meters turn left"). Navigation also automatically re-calculates the route if the user takes a wrong turn.

The navigation feature can only be purchased for regions for which a navigable map is available (there are navigable and non-navigable maps). A route simulation is also not possible on non-navigable maps. This is due to the often poor quality of map information on these maps."

To:Coffee Girl - I think this picture of Nokia phone would be the rumoured N99. I think this is already a touchscreen, 2.8 TFT screen and using a xenon flash (7.2 megapixel camera?). Hopefully Nokia will announce this unit mid this year and perhaps it will be available before end of this year or at the latest first quarter of 2008. I'm sure this Nokia model would be more exciting than the N95 which is not touchscreen and no xenon flash.

Just had my N95 for about 2 weeks now. The camera has malfunctioned, and I am quite pissed off at how fast the camera is spoilt.

Hey guys, at the moment this phone has an outstanding battery. I have a Garmin GPS device and the battery only lasts 4 hours. What can u expect of the N95's battery if the gps is used for several hours, plus the 5mp camera also must use a lot of battery time if it is used frequently... And studies hav shown that Lithium ion batteries lifespan increase after many charges...

what the hell do you need such a big and ugly phone for ?? just buy a 8800 sirocco; it's a little more expensive but it's beautiful and ellegant; no one actually needs a camera, mp3 player and gps into a PHONE !! just buy a phone, a 10 Mp camera, an apple ipod and everything's gonna be ok

To PP$8, actually the N95 uses a Texas instrument GPS5300 Navilink 4.0 chip.

"AGPS is ASSISTED positioning where the mobile network helps the phone get a location fix by using informaton provided by the 3G transmitters.

The N95 has the ability to use GPS in isolation or AGPS where available."

I have Nokia 3230 and Navicore maps. The GPS receiver is external and the receiver is connected to the phone via bluetooth. First I thought there is a problem with the battery (shorter stand-by and talk time than for N95), but then I learned to use the power saving mode, i.e. the display is turned off when not needed. No problems whatsoever since. I am sure the battery in N95 is quite ok!

As far as i am concerned, i have read thru all ya opinionns
                                        My analysis is :
                                        1. I judge phone my how fast it is and whether it disappoints or not
so far : 75/77% of ya'll arent happy with the speed

                                        2. The features of the phone is stunning, i kinda guessed the processor for the n95 is too low to get the applications running

Well, whats da point of having a sweet phone if u cant use it at the best/most time u needed it, needless to say, whats da point of having it when u know battery life gonna mess u up .
Am just gonna keep chilling with ma e61(gat navigator/wireless connection/good sound/blackberry connection though no camera) n wait for the nokia communicator or maybe N95i --- u all know what nokia can be like. I m out!
