Received the n95 this week and it has hardly left my hands, the phone is packed with features to many to get the hang of straight away, one problem is the maps it takes hours to download from the net. The camera takes good pictures the flash is nothing to shout about, just like little compact cameras the flash is not very powerful but it does its job if you play around with exposure mode on the camera it does a good job. Phone came with a 1gb card but I bought a 2gb card to put music on, very nice machine for music as if you like you can use it without a headset and it has stereo speakers on the phone, the volume is great for a little machine. Battery power isn't to great but like all new rechargeable batteries they take a few times to get fully changed. Over all I think the phone is very good, but I am pleased it was a free upgrade I wouldn't like to pay the £500+ for it, and some people have it up for sale on eBay for up to £650.

What is the thing about this mp3 channels? Is this a parameter about the clarity of the sound? All the Nokia phones has only 64 channels and many pda have 128 even 192 channels.Does that mean those pda have more clear and also louder sound or simply more clear sound or it does not mean anything.

Sweetest Fone ever. I just turned it on and had a go at it and all the hype surrounding the Fone is justified and pitty that all the Nokia basher wont have a go at it.

This is the worst phone ever. Its packed with features but with a slow processor. It cant handle the applications speed. Switching between camera and MP3 players/videos hangs and freezes the phone getting under our nerve to restart. It has no touchscreen, 3G speed is slower than a dialup. Talk about the cost and its not worth the cost as there are better models for the price like this. I Just returned mine 2 days back for the new i-mate.
GPS works only in urban areas and even in semi urban areas its full of bugs. Battery life is not like what they promise. It stands for 43 minutes under full videos and camera usages. Most will think the camera is the upside of this phone, but it aint. Thats what pushes the phone to its bad side.

No, the volume doesnt mean speaker volume.. it means Cubic Centimeter

Thanks for the tip from anotherN95user on setting my GPS going. Now it's working. Realised that the voice system is only a trial period for 15 days. Have to buy the license if I want to continue the usage. Yeah, actually a lot of compaints/feedbacks don't do this phone justice. Actually if u use any type of smartphones, they are all the same....jack of all trades, master of none. They are also basically battery suckers since they are packful of features that's sure gonna use a lot of energy. So guys here, stay calm, stay rationale and compare apple to apple, i.e. compare all smartphones instead of a normal phone. I knew that I"m gonna play with this phone for quite a while so I have bought myself an extra battery and a desktop charger. Com'on even a notebook can only last u avg 3 hours so what's more can u ask from a cellphone??

That's a fair comment regarding htc making devices with better functionality and a more complete operating system. The n95 wasn't exclusively aimed at power users hence we have a stylish portable mobile that does more than enough for most people.HTC don't concentrate on camera's and such like because they know their target buyer isn't overly concerned with having a 5mp cam,on the other hand nokia know mega pixel appeals to their market. At the end of the day it depends what your looking for.

cuz the camera can't make all, be GPS, mp3 player radio, wifi (internet), smartphone and in one device. if you look for the prices of eazch devices you are saving a fortune

why pay $900 to 1200 for a 5 megapixel camera phone when u can get a 10 megapixel camera phone for under $500,check this out :http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/news/articles/story_6849.html

I totally agree, Meteor. I have no idea why there are people whining and moaning about the N95 - I've had it two weeks now, and it's the best phone I've ever had (And it's hard to please me)

                                      The only downsides are:

                                      - Battery life - Need to charge it every night if you use it regularly
                                      - Using the camera with the flash AND zoom makes it look a little grainy

Apart from those downsides, it's perfect. Love the video quality, love the camera, love the MP3, love the calls you can make, love reading ebooks, using applications, love it all. 10/10.

Excellent phone ! Does hang now and again but no doubt this will eventually be fixed by firmware updates. Had similar thing with N73 but everything got fixed pretty quick.
