When a high end nokia symbion os phone is 1st released its always priced around the £400 mark and you kinda think its so not worth the money however i do not feel that way about the N95 its actually priced at £500 and i believe its worth every penny. This phone is the most action packed phone i have ever had or heard about. The features are endless 3g massive 16 million colour screen, high quality stereo speakers, satalite navigation, wifi which is so useful especially when i'm in town in London, 160mb integrated memory expandable upto 2gb with micro sd. The feature i like the best is the phones ability to switch from portrate mode to lanscape screen by sliding the top of the phone down by 1cm to show the multimedia blue buttons at the side so you can use the phone in widescreen mode to take photos or videos or watch movies etc. This phone also has TV out feature so you can play movies on a TV perhaps if you were away from home in a hotel or something. Strange thing is evey feature works perfectly video camera is very very smooth crisp and clear almost like a real video camera now lets not foget about the 5 megapixel camera truely stunning and amazing quality the best camera phone available i believe. You just get the impression nokia aren't playing around here like they said to themselves "lets make a phone to end all so called feature rich phones out there". I had stoped using nokia after i had a 6230 and was using samsungs and sony ericssons but now i'm back with nokia possibly for good if they continue making phones like this. The N95 is also very stylish and light which is rare for nokia symbion os phones. It looks like nokia are starting to make good quality phones again i can't see the need to upgrade this for another 2 years which is very rare for me i normally change phones every 6 months.

        @roger
        hye how r u
        well i m using n73 right now with a sweet motofone f3
and one of my friend (working on mobile shop) gave me chance to handle a 95 prototype
sound was nothing in front of n73 and quality was just average
i think n95 has same builtin speaker that n70 own

i have alotof complains with n73
        1)charging (battery)
        2)camera freezes
        3)starts after3-5 mins
        5) sound quality
        6) no WIFI
        7) radio signals are poor
        8) flash is not like k800i
        9) restarts it self
        10) poor application response
        11) audio quality is just................................. i miss my E2 rokr

but overall i m satisfied except battery llife

They still need stopwatch or timer as i genuinly use these so symbian is still not employing basic facilities. The a835 from moto also did a decent job with its AGPS or assissted globabal positioning system..
I have also put this before but texas instrument shrunk the whole windows system the omap t750i and doubled the proccessor speed whilst doubling the battery life yet symbian seems untouched in this department since the 7650/3650.Nokia and its partners need to stop shovelling out phones with better specs yet full of bug mobile phones and concentrate on shrinking and stabalising symbian..
Dont get me wrong most of my fones have been nokia series 60 but recently the n80 which i use and n73 are not exactly top class fones when it comes to using them with their so called fuctionallity they are slow,,prone to crashing and yes absolutly ridiculous when it comes to ram and internal memory..I dont know how i got by when i used the 6630/6680 with a paltry 10 mb i really struggled after downloading a few themes and trying afterwards to get the best use of 5-6 mb when bluetoothing over anything nearing that limit..
              This n95 does address the last issue with 160mb but still the unit shud be let loose to a set of people in a secure enviroment to hammer at these fones and report any relavent issues,,when these have been rectified THEN the device should be on sale to the general public,,not the general public be the guinea pigs and solve afterwards because:;
              1) Its not fair to the traders who get the backlash as people complain and return the phones
2)Often its made out that the consumer is daft or barmy and does not know how a smartfone works and they get the blame
3)They are not cheap, they are a VERY expensive device comparing with a basic laptop and a pretty good spec computer their up there with a label as the most expensive item you will ever purchase ,,
Thats my opinion for now altho in the back of my mind i still wish for these smartfones to work with ease and not the struggle they seem to show.

Gaz if your connection using wifi to your router you will not be charged by your mobile provider as it does not use their network the only thing you pay for is your normal bt broadband

I hope one day nokia will produce another smartphone that uses a different os.Symbian is ok for handsets like the 6630 but hell we are beyond that now.The applications are ridiculous when compared to palm or windows mobile.I guess symban is quite stable but it is an incredibly restrictive os which makes the n95 nothing more than a phone trying to be a real smartphone.

here is what ive come across:
NOKIA's lineup for the loudest phone on the headset:

1.N-91(no doubt, this is the best music phone out there)
2.Nokia 3250(slightly lower than the N-91,the firmware v3.18,is on par with the N-91,but its a rare firmware,so it comes second.
                          3.Nokia N93i
                          4.Nokia N93
                          5.Nokia N73
                          6.Nokia N73 music edition & N-95

These are all based on "my"personal experience since ive had all these phones and im into symbian phones.By the way this is my opinion only.

Hey Bunghole, you're one lucky guy. Since you have both of them, what's louder and clearer ? What I think is the Nokia N93i is louder but N95 is clearer. Right ?
                              Please answer my question.

                              Thanks

i just got the new n95... im really happy i bought it... the problem is it's battery, i thought it could stay up to 6 hrs of talktime, but i was wrong, it's like the n93i that i also have right now... but thats ok, they have the same battery model anyway... so if my n95 run out of battery, i can just use my n93i battery..

Also, does anybody know where I can get information on how loud cell phones are using CC

                                  Example ( N93i = 115.6 cc )

Where do people know how loud a cell phone is ?

can anyone who owns this phone tell me if they also have a flimsy racheting type slide and hissing and crackling in the handset ??? this is very annoying for a $900 phone. i went through 2 of these already and both of them have flimsy awful slides and hissing in the handset this is ridiculous.

I've bought a N95 on monday. What a marvel. I guess I am fortunate not to have any of the problems some people mentioned. After damping my P990i (disaster phone with constant resets) I am pleased to say that symbian is still my favorite os. Primarly I use the device (N95) as a solid state handy cam. (best handycam at this weight no doubt). Also I use it as a hi-speed wireless modem for my laptop and lastly as a gps while I paraglide (my top hobby) All this functions the N95 does it 'out of the box', oh yeah, now and then I snap a pic or make a phone call - but who cares about using such a nice & compact handy cam for phone calls :) Well done Nokia.
