N82 has bad keypad only on theory. But I've been typing all my posts here in GSMArena using my N82. So I can say it's not bad at all.

Question, 28 Apr 2009N82 is bad keypad. .it so hard. .i don't like the hard keyp... moreyes, looks like a Nokia engineer was drunk designing that keyboard. Awful.....another one was drunk when designing keypad on N85. Can you even type one word on that device without a mistake lol:)Guessing the words for typing is not an option for me and anything different then a standardly constructed keypad like on N958gb is a no-go:)

engineer, 28 Apr 2009I have been using N958GB for the last 9 months now. There ar... moreNone of the problems you mentioned are an issue 4 me. You will have to learn how to take photos first to make a decent ones and play with the settings. My photos are much better then on my standalone Sony 3mp camera and almost equal To my 5mp Canon camera (the colors are even more realistic, but only after i learned which settings fit best. You will have to put some effort in installing an office editor which rarely comes installed out of the box anyway. I don't know what you do with the battery but mine is fine and has never ever lost contact (Do you sink it into water lol). Also have had zero problems with charging and i'm using 3 different chargers (only one of them original Nokia). So either you have been treating this unit very bad or you have a chinese copy, cause i've heard a lot of critics about this device and none were in the departments you mention. Regards!

"If you want the best camera, better buy a DSLR." That is a very irrational advice! People wouldn't consult suggestions here in GSMArena if they are looking for a DSLR. I presume that these people who are here posting in GSMArena are looking for advice regarding what's the best camera on a phone. A phone that doesn't function just as a camera and a phone, but functions as a GPS, PDA, Internet browser, game console as well. A DSLR cannot do these things. So to the guy who's looking for the best camera, I strongly suggest the N82. It doesn't only have the best camera, it also has the best and most powerful flash. And it doesn't end there. It is a multifunctional gadget.

I have been using N958GB for the last 9 months now. There are plus points like audio quality, maps, etc but the picture quality despite 5MP camera is poor. The resolution is low as compared to a 5MP digital camera. If you blow up on PC the picture breaks up in squares,so paying so much for a 5MP camera phone is a waste.Other draw back is lack of PDA features;like text handling, spreadsheets etc.The word program only displays but cannot edit the documents. There is no password protected "wallet" feature as found in early model Nokia6600.
The worst feature is the bad design of battery terminals,i.e slot type instead of spring contacts. This makes the battery having lose contact with the phone often.Another drawback is the extremely thin charger pin. This also establishes a bad/lose contact with the power jack of phone & hence no charging happens at times.I don't understand why they had to opt for extra thin pin for the charger??It would have been better with the standard pin for a robust connection.

n's, 27 Apr 2009now i'm already buy n95 8gb..aaron dont jealous! I have n82... moreNo, I won't be jealous. Because I already have an N82 and I won't buy another N82 in slider form. The best phone to complement my N82 is a totally different phone, either N85 or N86 8MP. I'll be getting either one of this later this year. I'm just waiting for the total black version of N85 to come out with probably fixed build quality compared to the first batch of N85. Or I'll be getting an N86. I'm not really into the 8MP camera of N86 as I'm more than satisfied and happy with my N82's camera. I just want a slim, stylish phone with very cool user interface. I don't want to buy a phone that is exactly the very same as my old phone.

Mehedi, 27 Apr 2009is n86 comming on june and will it cost like 350 euro?that will probably be the price before taxes and subsidiaries, which means at least 500€ if not more....they said 5800 should cost 279€, but in our country it started selling for 600€, now it's down to 380, but still not 280. Sure you can get it for 1€ but with a 2 year contract of at least 40€ per month. So, these annoucments are to be taken with reserve...till it's official that is:) regards!

Had this phone a few months now. Always had Motorola's before this.

                                  Good points:
Decent battery life ( i can get a week if i limit wifi use)

                                  Good all round camera.

Ringtone volume loud enuff to be heard against most background noises

                                  Bad points:
Keys a bit too small and un-ergonomic to text comfortably

                                  Predictive text is abysmal

Screen is bad to read on sunny days.

Overall, its a decent phone No phone is perfect. Theres not really anything else on the market that matches its performance for the same price. (I paid £180)

ndud, 27 Apr 2009n86 8mp .350 euro how many rupiahs is it ? im still cnfus... moreGiven the ample amount of natural light, the N95 8GB takes better pics. But when it comes to low light, the N85 gives clearer pics. The dual LED flash on N85 is second only to N82's Xenon flash in brightness. Brightness in the sense that it won't make the pics appear whitish or with any other tint. Even the N96's dual LED flash is no where near the brightness of that of N85. The dual LED flash on N96 gives a bluish tint to the pictures. So the N85's dual LED flash is the best LED flash as of now. The N86 8MP's dual LED is supposed to be better than any other LED flash as what was claimed by Nokia since it is of 3rd generation. And Nokia is now currently improving their dual LED flash setup since they won't be making phones with a Xenon flash ever again.
