Try to google 'N82 vs. N95 8GB'. And you'll see that 8 out of 10 sites proclaim that N82 is the winner in its battle with N95 8GB. You can count on your fingers the number of people who agree with in saying N95 8GB is better than N82.

Xenon flash doesn't make the colors appear washed out. LED flash does. Nope. N82 has much better sound quality than N95 8GB. It has deeper bass, louder volume and clearer, crisper sound output. The ideal music listening experience is through the headphones. And N82 is a clear winner in that area. And as I'm googling ''N82 vs. N95 8GB', there are so many sites that have put these 2 devices head to head. And guess what? Most of them proclaimed that N82 is way ahead of N95 8GB. So I'm not the only one with this opinion. Most people think the way I do. And for the record, I never like the N95 8GB. It doesn't specialize on anything. N81 beats it in sound quality. N82 beats it in camera quality. N96 beats it in video playback quality. N85 beats in battery life. N95 8GB doesn't excel on anything. It's a flagship device, very expensive but only average. But I'll give N95 8GB the credit for the most stunning look among all Nseries. N95 8GB is for average people who are not after the best sound, image, video quality but want only an all-in-one device. That's all.

Teps, 06 Apr 2009The N95-8gb is a fantastic phone. Since it has Music keys t... morevery nicely put indeed:) couldn't agree more with you mate...I wrote all of that many times and it seems that always a dissapointed N85 or N82 user pops up from somewhere, jealous that he cannot have or afford N958gb....but nice job though:) Regards

      p.s.

I can't wait for N868mp to come out which again doesn't dramatically improve what N958gb is offering for 2 years....Let's face it guys - recession has got the phone marked too:)

aaron, 06 Apr 2009I'm not the only one who says N82 is better than N95 8GB. E... moreThe N95-8gb is a fantastic phone. Since it has Music keys that can be used as Gaming keys as well with Magic key when in landscape, this makes it far more practical to use for Gaming,Movies and Music, the large 2.8inch screen although at QVGA res STILL looks brilliant, its a lot brighter and vibrant than N82's,this makes the N95-8gb perfect for Movies,Music videos etc...The location of its 3.5mm jack is just fine for my Sennheiser CX300s when playing Ngage games in landscape and watching movies. So what who cares if the N95-8gb doesnt have a xenon flash? Not everyone cares for taking pics with a phone especialy at night, and the N95s LED does a good job for my needs,Xenon can sometimes make things too bright and colours appear washed out,so realy a xenon is not that important. The N95-8gb also has much better sound quality, unlike N82 which gives soft muffled sound through both loudspeakers and headphones.N95-8gb is loud, clear and bassy even through loudspeakers. The built-in 8gb is fine for me,i dont store too much in my phones. The N95-8gb has excellent battery life, can get a full day of heavy use,its got demand paging for low power consumption just like N81,N82 and FP2 devices, plus it has a much larger batt capacity than N82. It sounds to me like you're not satisfied with your N82 so you come here and post a to try convince yourself that N82 is better, its a nice phone but it lacks things i have come to love in my N95-8gb.

aaron, 06 Apr 2009I'm not the only one who says N82 is better than N95 8GB. E... moreI know mate - it's hard to except that a two year old phone kicks ass of all the new units but that's just the case here. Don't get too upset, you should have spend a few extra bucks and get an allround excellent device. All the owners of N958gb know why they're sticking with their units - because there's no fair replacement. That's just the way it is - reviews cannot match real-life experience and performance. Run along now:)

I'm not the only one who says N82 is better than N95 8GB. Even most mobile phone reviewers are one in saying that N82 is better than N95 8GB, not just in camera, but in almost every aspect.
                http://www.intomobile.com/2007/11/30/nokia-n95-n95-8-gb-and-n82-the-evolution-of-the-multimedia-computer.html
When it comes to music, N82 is still better even with the lack of music keys.
                http://www.thenokiaguide.com/my_weblog/2007/12/n95-8gb-vs-n8-1.html
The list could go on. And N95 8GB has no chance against N82. The only thing that N95 8GB beats the N82 is the screen dimension. But for anything else, N82 kicks the N95 8GB out of its thrown.

Doesn't it seems strange that we could sell our one year or even older N958gb and get a new N82 and could still buy our friends couple of drinks, but we don't do that. It's not because we're proud or hardheaded, it's because doing that would be just plain stupid. Xenon flash is the only thing that N82 has better, but i'll trade bigger screen, better battery and smoother and faster software and 8gb memory onboard for Xenon anytime. So yes, i've used them both and one of them i'm not using anymore and u don't see me posting on the N82 section how it sucks. So run along over there if u want people to agree with you - here you won't find any:) Regards!

Because that's the truth. Gone are the days when the difference between a flagship phone and a midrange phone are huge. Today even a midrange phone performs much better and is more practical than a flagship phone just like in the case of N82 vs N95 8GB, and N85 vs N96.

Why do you keep defending N82 in the N958gb section. Do you have a truck full of them and can't sell them:)You don't see any N958gb user posting in N82 section of gsmarena, because they don't have to and they don't really care:)
                              Think about it:)

As i've said many times - N82 is a wonderful phone, but since it came out long after N958gb it should be able to surpass it dramatically - and sadly that's not the case (except if your thing is taking pics in the dark). So let go, no one here agrees with you and we've probably all played around with N82. If it's your thing, stick with it but please don't trash the N958gb forum. Regards!

For me N82 is way better than N95 8GB. N82 can deal with up to 16GB cards while N95 8GB is stuck with only 8GB. N82 has both Xenon flash and 3D graphics accelerator while N95 8GB only has 3D accelerator and no Xenon. N82, being a candybar phone, is a lot more compact, solid and well-built, while N95 8GB has a fear of getting a wobbly and loose slider in time. N82 is more convenient to use since its 3.5mm jack is at the top of the device, as well as its GPS receiver, while N95 8GB's 3.5mm jack is inconveniently placed at the side and you need to open its keypad to be able to use its GPS. Yeah, N95 8GB has bigger screen but it's the very same QVGA screen as N82. Pictures and everything just appear stretched on N95 8GB's screen while they look very sharp on N82's screen. Should I sacrifice the powerful Xenon flash that lets me take bright and clear pics in total darkness in exchange of a much bigger screen with the same QVGA resolution. N82 has smaller battery capacity than N95 8GB but it also is less power-hungry than N95 8GB. It's software is optimised for battery consumption and you'll get more than a day of battery life on average use. N82 can be considered an N95 8GB with better camera, thus is better than N95 8GB itself. People just underlook it because of its simple design and lower index name. But no, it's no worse than N95 8GB. It can perform much better than N95 8GB in many aspects.

It's every thing you could imagine all in one. It's a very good phone,Long lasting battery and has everything you can expect from a mobile phone. There should be another version of the N95 because of a great design and beauty to keep up with the later and better versions of the Nseries. In other words, to be remmebered as a great phone and one of the best designed phone in the Nseries.

I'd say N958GB. I love the build quality of Innov8. My only problem is, instead of calling it Innov8, it should be called Copycat (it's S60 operating system, which system is under license from Nokia.)
