Not impressed with this handset. Reception in all areas, town, city, country side is sketchy at best and memory is not reliable. Two key issues for any phone I would have thought. There must be far better handsets on the market than this one.

Kenzo, 03 Sep 2008Ok thats a start.... .....i would say u in the rite place.... moreHi all,
I used to avoid any phone with moving parts as I worked in a harsh engineering enviroment. I'm now office bound so its not so much of a problem anymore.
I tend to go for a higher spec older model (N95) rather than something fresh on the streets, but the E66 looks half decent. I also think the N95 will become a bit of a classic as did the 6310i.
I'll have a play in the local dealer and see what I prefer
      cheers

i have nokia 6270,and its about 1.5 years old. it is a high end high cost mobile from nokia. i and my many friends trusted and bought several nokia coslty sets. but after the warranty is over it started giving problem.........and when i took it to nokia care ,they said [bit can not be repaired[/b],they even did not see what was the problem. then i took it to another nokia care, and this time they just touched it and told it can't be repaired...............friends do not buy nokia high end mobile phones because the[b after sells service of nokia is the worst ever[/b].i and my friends are suffering so i thought that i should post my bitter experience to all..................once your warranty is over your costly set will start giving problem and if it is then its gone because nokia's high end mobile life time is just the warranty period they provide. most customers are facing this problem..............friends be alert and please do not buy nokia

                  Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi,
                  phonewise I want:
                  wi-fi,
                  good for internet browsing,
                  good camera,
good sturdy phone that will take the odd knock,
multi-media not so important (use i-pod for tunes),
Generally I like my phone to do everything well, but not concerned by getting latest thing on the street. Instability, locking up and shutting down does frustrate me.
                  My phone history is 6310i, K7501, K800i.
I tried the samsung omnia last weekend, hated it and it kept locking up so I took it back within 24hrs.....

N78 is a great buy now at P13,900. The reason why its price gets so low is because of low in demand. Once its demand gets high, price also will get high. That's why price is not stable. It will either go up or down depending on the demand. N82's is stable at P18,100 because the demand is the same every week and never goes down. I hope I made it clear. Market policy in cellphone shops, a 2nd hand unit should cost one half the price of the current price of the phone model. For example, a 2nd hand N82 should cost a maximum of P9,050. But if I were you, I'd buy the N78. It's so much affordable this week. Next week, price of N78 might goes up again when more people buy it this week.

Morteza, 28 Aug 2008hey guys.when i was updating my firmware from 15.0.015 to 2... more
1st of all, where are u from?

i had the same problem 2.

its because of the phone's region.
if u are from europe, especially from UK, then u will never be able to update your phone unless ur carrier lets u.

                                    its stupid.

i went to Nokia to change the mainboard. i asked them to be region 2 (Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, etc)

Region 1 are blocked form the carrier

Region 2 are free to update the phone whenever Nokia releases an update.

So if u are Region 1 (West Europe), like i said, u will never be able to update your phone untill the "update" its checked and aproved by the carrier... that means almost NEVER...

                                    :((

In the Philippines, price of N78 has already drops down to P13,900 this week. It's the most affordable Nseries as of today. N81 8GB is still P16,300 and N81 is P14,000. While the price of N82 is stable at P18,100, N95 is P19,400 and N95 8GB is P25,300. To those who will buy one of these phones in the Philippines, be guided by the current pricing.
