    1 of this phones najor problems is that it doesn't know if its a pda or a phone. It needs a qwerty keypad. Not a tiny number pad. What's the point of having email and everything else on it if it takes you twice as long to type anything. Don't forget the world record for the fasted typed msg was on a qwerty keypad on a sidekick. I mean it has a bad version of msn on it but what's the point.

      @nat
      You wouldn't be using this phone for a camera if you were into photography. 5mp isn't enough. These days most cameras have 7mp or more. In the photography world, 5mp is outdated.

            (my last post corrected)
            So, the 8GB has 2 variants? One for Europe & Asia-Pacific with HSDPA 2100 MHz and the other for USA with HSDPA 850/1900 MHz?

            What if someone like me has to travel all around? If I buy this phone in Europe or Asia-Pacific then I would not be able to use the HSDPA in USA and vice-versa!!! Is there a solution to this??? Please let me know. I am dying to buy this phone!!!

                Chaitanya - usually you can just tell by looking at the 3G frequencies. So if you're looking online for a N95-2, just look for a N95-8GB that uses 2100Mhz for UMTS/HSDPA. Take a look at the spec page for that info. Or you can just search for "N95-2", as some sites have it listed as such.

                The N95-2 isn't hard to find, as 99.99% of all the N95 8GB's are N95-2's, since the N95-4 isn't even released yet (as of today).

                Hope that helps.

                            mohamed - I'll break it down for you..

                            N95-1 is the first edition of the N95. This one is for europe and eastward countries. It's the original that had all the problems, small battery, low ram, etc.

                            N95-2 is the europe edition of the N95-8GB. This has many improvements over the original (ie more ram, bigger battery, larger screen, etc)

                            N95-3 is the NAM (north american) edition of the original N95-1. This has a few fixes that the 8GB had, which is larger battery and more ram. This version also uses the 850/1900Mhz frequencies for AT&T's 3G network. The firmware isn't anything special though.

                            N95-4 is the NAM (north american) edition of the N95 8GB (n95-2). It's exactly the same as the N95-2 except for the 3G band, which has changed to 850/1900Mhz instead of 2100Mhz. There is very small chance that it utilizes quicker flash memory than the original N95-2... Not very likely though.

                            Hope that helps.
