I used to have this phone, and found it useless, it just gets slower and slower as you put more stuff on it. No explandable memory slot either, and doesn't work on the Telstra network very well either. A big waste of my money.

Just wanted to update all of the American users here.

The N95-4 (US version of N95 8GB) release date was pushed back to the 7th of this month.. It's possible it will be pushed back again, which is very unfortunate.

Also, there are a few reputable rumors that the N95-4 has the same firmware as the latest N95-2; which means demand paging, the enhanced search feature, and flashlite 3.0 support.

So it seems Nokia decided to appeal to N95 buyers with a .2" larger screen, more memory, and better software. However, it's a shame they decided to ditch the microSD card slot - bad move on Nokia's part. Even so, this looks like a pretty good phone for now, i'll definitely be getting the N95-4 once it's available.

depends what headphones you have. the sounds output is absolutely fantastic

quite frankly, if you dont like this phone, you'll never be happy because this phone is just everything.

I just recently got a N95 8GB. The phone is a lot better than my old N73 or any other phone I had.

                                PROS:
The camera is great (though most users have issues with the image algorithms), I still think it's great for a mobile camera using CMOS technology. The phone's menus are user friendly and best of all there are a lot of settings one can customize. The big memory really comes in handy, and processor speed has been improved to fairly handle the large on-board memory. I'm glad they still included an IR port aside from BT, WLAN, HSDPA, 3G.. and a lot of other modes of connectivity. It can indeed fairly be called a gadget with computers have become.

                                CONS:
The size and design is a bit bulky but a better improvement from the old N95. Long fingers come in handy to press buttons across the keypad while holding it with one hand. Bettery life is still a little short compared to my previous mobile phones. Maybe battery needs more break-in. The slide design seems to be the first to suffer from wear and the big LCD may be more prone to misalignment or pixel failure.

OVERALL, the N95 8GB's PROs are a good compromise to the things it lack. Nokia has done a fairly good job in stepping up its generation of mobile devices with respect to the N95.

Finally S60's are relatively slower than SE operating systems. SE is a good phone but the one I had before will be my last SE. I had a horrible experience with it (WSODs). It may just have been a lemmon but SE has did a good job in encouraging me to be loyal to Nokia :)
