i`ve read a lot of bad comments about the N96 here.I just want to say that this smartphone(Nokia N96) is the best smartphone i`ve had.I bought it 1 month earlier and all i have to say is that is THE BEST.The battery last about 2 days with lot of ussage(movies,music,gps,calls,messaging,etc.).I almost didn`t want to buy it after i`ve read the opinions from here,that would been my biggest mistake.I was happy to find out that is a verry good phone and it didn`t let me down never.All of you that you want to buy it dont hesitate,is the best from nokia.I say this becouse i`ve had many smartphones and phones from a lot of brand and this i find to be the best.The battery lasts a little shorter than on the n95 8gb.The functions are working fine,even with a 8gb card it`s working well.Excuse my english.My advise: Buy It,you wont be sorry!!!!

it is because N96 onli can test to the new mobile not old mobile

i recieve a text message but i cannot open it on N96 .i use other phones, ericsson t630 and old samsung (their 1st colorphone and iwas able to open it and have it erase. any comment?

N96 OS 9.3 can do the same with Dual ARM 9 264 MHz CPU
...with new firmware (u have @ nokia.com)which u can download, device can do even better :-)
... and my friend, even with weaker battery (in real use, not just on paper) you'll have to recharge your battery rarely :p

I have MSN messenger for this N96 .. but it says there is a problem when i try to sign in .. anyone know what the problem could be?

This is one of the worst phones manufactured by NOKIA. It's really really slow and the battery life is really poor.. I like my N95 better than this.
N96 - Dual ARM 9 264 MHz CPU :p
N95 - Dual ARM 11 332 MHz CPU
Thats why its slow :D

djcrickylyttle, 27 Feb 2009I like the phone but have to say it is far too slow sometim... moreOk after using the phone in power saving mode basically all the time, the battery's lasting quite a bit longer. I also upgraded the firmware yesterday via device manager. Hopefully that's sorted the freezing etc. I'll use it for a while and report back but i think its already running more smoothly!
Also discovered MSN Messenger for it yesterday, SCORE! :D
Can anyone tell me how to work the DVB-H TV function?? I've never used it before and wouldn't mind checking it out.

This is a great phone and I have had it since Boxing Day. For those complaining about the battery, I changed mine after about a week and it operates a lot better. You can use the N95 8 gig battery if you squad it in. The Nokia N95 8 gig battery is twice as good. Regarding it freezing, once you have bought it, go to the Nokia website and update the software immediately. Thereafter you can use it. I am only getting rid of mine as I am getting the Nokia 5800 in April and am giving my N96 to my brother as I amde a pact with him. LOL - April 1st is the day I hand over power. My only complaint is that is very expensive off line.

i love this fone co'z its very cheap, even if i'll buy 100pcs a day, i can, co'z i'm rich dude... its friedly user also, co'z even i'm flying as fast and as high as i can with my F117A Nighthawk Stealth-Bomber going to matnug, i can easily use my fone to txt or call my friends in the Moon, co'z they are doing some experiments there... thats all... thanks
