What is happening to this phone? I thought this is the successor of the previous King of the phones and honestly I'm not a nokia fun at all but its just so odd and strange to hear many complaints of many people about the top phone of the world's largest producing company of phone.

I Bought N96 a week ago. Camera is okay but not really great compared to N95. Speaker is okay but N95 has louder speaker. Naviwheel is not working. My unit restarted itself about 5 times already since I've bought it. Battery is not good. But music quality through headphones is good, a lot better than N95. I just noticed that my unit is getting slower and slower in performing operations. I just formatted the internal memory. I restore it to default factory settings. I uploaded 7Gb data on the mass memory and it got slow. I think the processor can't handle a lot of data in the mass memory. Wifi is also very weak. I think there are so many bugs in the current firmware. Right now, I'm not really happy with it. I hope Nokia will fix all the bugs soon to make this phone good.

iolo003, 02 Nov 2008here on earth n96 sold more than innov8 is france not part... moren92 was also sold on earth and so was n77. but they did not sell well. the main novelty of n96 is the 16gb and dvb-h. 16gb cards are already available so 16gb is not a feature of n96 that will "wow" the public. and dvb-h equipped phones hardly sell in hundred thousand units because it has coverage for only 2% of the entire world. what are the other features of n96? 5mp camera, there are other 6 less expensive nokia phones with 5mp camera, and take note, all of them produce better image quality than n96, even 6220c has better image results. large screen: n95 8gb has the same screen but better contrast, 5800 has larger and much higher resolution screen but is just one third of n96's price. so i can't think of any feature n96 is superior than any other mobile phone. this phone is so much overpriced and overhyped! this phone is definitely better than 5110 but only fools or those people with so many cash will buy this phone! don't let nokia's marketing strategy deceive you. if u need 16gb, rather buy a 16gb card for ur n82 or n95 than buy this unjustly priced n96. if u want dvb-h, check first with ur service provider if they already have this service before investing a lot of money on something u might not need at the moment. if u want 100% of n96's features sans the 16gb and dvb-h, rather get the n95 8gb. it's less expensive and is better in overall performance. n96 for its premium price is not worth it. it's the most expensive nokia symbian phone but it's not the best in anything.

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2008Can someone please tell me to use DVB-H if a tv sim is need... moreYes A special sim is needed wich is called the USIM.......
What is a USIM?
In order to continue receiving the DVB-H trial signal, you will need to swap your current SIM card for a new USIM. A USIM will be provided free of charge to all trial recipients of the Sagem myMobileTV handset or you may Purchase one from MTN service stores near you.
USIM stands for Universal Subscriber Identity Module. A USIM looks exactly like a SIM and identifies a subscriber to the network in exactly the same way as a SIM does. However, a USIM has a higher data storage capacity and is better suited to more sophisticated mobile applications, such as DVB-H and 3G. In the DVB-H environment a USIM operates in much the same way as a DStv smartcard does in your decoder or PVR.
I dont knw how u get the Vodacom USIM ...im on MTN and planing 2 Get THe N96 next month
For more details you can visit http://www.dstvmobile.co.za
Hope it was of help 2 you.....
