Article about Samsung INNOV8 saying it's the best all-in-one device so far and worthy replacement for N95, and not the N96. Everything is best in this multimedia powerhouse.
    http://www.smape.com/en/reviews//Samsung_i8510-exp.html
"Summing the facts up, we'd like to finish the article by saying that doubtlessly Samsung i8510 INNOV8 is today's best all-in-one smartphone and a golden standard for all future smartphone. As your everyday companion, it would make an excellent replacement for Nokia N95, combining a supreme functionality, quality of materials and appealing looks. There is hardly going to be any future price reduction, but INNOV8 is really worth its price and has no competitors. The rest of solutions offer various compromises be it in the way of quality or functionality. The i8510 model is a crucial product that will overhaul the public opinion about Samsung as an S60 smartphone producer."

I loved my N95 though it wasn't perfect and in fact its screen stopped working after about 17 months of owning it. I hated Nokia Maps but loved using Tom Tom mobile with external GPS receiver when driving as that was so much faster and better than Nokia Maps. I upgraded to the N96 2 weeks ago and after having it for a week I was absolutely disgusted with it. The minute you open it to stick the SIM and battery in, you're faced with that horrible little, flimsy piece of sh*t plastic cover, and it immediately feels cheap. It didn't seem to do anything better than the N95 while the downgraded CPU is useless for Tom Tom. When installed on the N96, Tom Tom is a million times slower than it ever was on the N95 to the point of being unworkable, and won't ever work for more than a couple of minutes on the N96 before it crashes. All that with the latest FW. After that week I took the N96 back to the Carphone Warehouse in London and got an Iphone instead. Sure, the camera on that is no match for that of the N95 or N96 but even so, the Iphone completely rapes the N96. After owning most of Nokia's flagship phones over the years, I take the N96 as a complete insult. This is something that could and should have been so much better and advanced than the N95, and instead it's a sorry excuse for a septic tank of a smart phone. Don't bother with it. If you're expecting it to be better than the N95, you'll be as greatly disappointed as I am. Two questions to Nokia: 1)What the f*ck?
2)Where did it all go so horribly wrong?

As far as I'm concerned Nokia have a stupidly long way to go to redeem themselves after making me wait for this piece of sh*t since last winter! What an absolute shocker!

Why do you have to turn functions off to make the phone work properly?

What's the point of having them in the first place?

Cute Guy, 30 Oct 2008Again, let us make this as simple as possible because samsu... more16GB and DVB-H did not make N96 any better than N95 8Gb. N95 8Gb has larger camera lens, 3D graphics engine, dual TIOMAP 2420 CPU, 1200mah battery which N96 doesn't have. And INNOV8 has everything that N96 and N95 8Gb have except the fancy DVB-H chip. There is no such thing as Samsung fanboys. If there are INNOV8 fans, it is because INNOV8 is just too impressive device that even a Nokia fanatic like me is loving it. It takes so much Nokia fanboyism to appreciate N96 because even mobile phone review sites have already been disappointed with this phone. Do you know the story why N96 in this age and time was equipped with an old aged battery of N95 whereas all other latest Nokia phones are equipped with a whopping 1200mah battery? Even N82 and N81 have newer battery than N96. It is because when the time the hardware of N96 was being made by designers and engineers, there was no 1200mah battery available yet. What does that mean? N96 was created prior to N95 8Gb. It took 2 years for N96's development to be finished. This story is in one of mobile-review.com articles. That's why I just laugh at people who buy this phone. These people are so shallow. Haha! Good luck with your ageing N96. Hope you won't regret buying it when the next best thing arrives soon. Haha!
