WAK, 18 Oct 2008I've had the N96 for about 1 week now.
It is the most crap... more(WAK) you must see the phone before buying there is many non-original N96 (FAKE) this not mean that it must be (made in china)...NO..there is fake phone that exactly looking N96 BUT its not....AN ADVICE: DO not buy from this place again,i have it and its perfect (made in finland).

I've had the N96 for about 1 week now.
It is the most crap Nokia I've owned in the past 10 or so years.
The first N96 I returned to the store because the camera button broke within minutes of using it.
The second one suffers many issues:
- Frozen twice (re boot required)
- Volume control (up direction) about to give way. There is a serious build quality problem with this phone.
- Very slow to change screen direction (auto sensor)
- Slow generally to do operations. Not as bad as the E65, but slow.
- Cell info display doesn't work, no matter what I try to do.
- I keep getting "one alarm missed" even though no alarm has been set.
- For no reason a missed call icon appears, but no missed calls in the phone.
BUT, worst of all, the ring volume is stuck on low. Even though in the settings for the profile it has been set to the highest volume, and rings at that volume when making the setting.
Maybe I've just had bad luck, but I hate the phone!
Going to return it on Monday and try a difference model.
Nokia is usually so good at putting out a decent product.
Better luck with your phones.

to anonymus slow processor?????? no real upgrade?just as i said before, if you do not have this phone< stop inventing about it!!!

we sell the phone and not one of them yet has had the transformers movie on it yet even two people in store who work here bought it and they aint got it on there either

Tiger, 18 Oct 2008no offense, folks, but he who hates this phone does NOT hav... moreok? is that all that you can say for a 700 euro phone, just ok? i'm expecting something more than just ok... n96 is not an upgrade from n95 8gb! where is the upgrade here? the 16gb and dvb-h? or the slow processor with no 3d graphics chip. it's not an upgrade. it is just an alternative. for n95 8gb users, buying n96 is completely a waste of money! i have the money but i will definitely not buy this phone! i'll save my money for the 8mp n98 or s60 touchscreen n97. now, that's what i call an upgrade! n96 is a mistake! if they had released it a year ago, it would've been worth it.

no offense, folks, but he who hates this phone does NOT have it! It is a real upgrade from N95 8GB, the consumption has been optimised, that is, even if the battery has 950 Mah, with 3G disabled it can easily last for 3 days under normal usage. Signal strength is ok, camera is fine, music ok etc. So, really...Get a life!!! If you do not have this phone, do not speak badly about something you do not know. Nokia is and will always be number 1!!!

Isn't it funny. Those who either coughed out the money for the phone or made the effort to go phone etc, will always say, it's the best phone ever :) N96 is a remarkable phone, no doubt. But what is the 'best phone in the world' to you may not be the 'best phone in the world to me'. Wanna have some fun, go round the site looking at others comments on all other phones. You gonna see, omnia, best phone in the world, iphone, best phone in the world lol. . . Peace out

i just got my n96 4days ago, but still wondering where it came from. it just say made by nokia. is there anyway that you can find out where it was made and when?
any n96 codes or tricks out there?

hey guys i have had a n96 for about 2weeks now and i have to say it has changed big time from the n95 and n95 8gb, but u may of seen people say that n96 isnt that great, but let me say one thing itz better lookin, then both of them and works better then both of them the software is much better then the old one as it looks better and is better and much easyer to use, it comes with 15gb (not 16gb you would know if you had the phone), it has 118mb of ram, amd 82.6mb in the phone, the 15gb comes up as "mass memory", i love my n96, but some people may not like som may, itz just a really nice phone, if anyone ever tells u that n96 isnt better then n95 8gb or n95 itz cuz the have have, and dont have the cash to buy n96

What are the differences between the N95 8GB and the N96?
N96 has 16GB instead of 8GB
N96 has a digital TV receiver that doesn't work in the UK
N96 has a slower CPU than the N95 8GB therefore performs slower
