iolo003, 05 Oct 2008all-in-one device means it has everything that a device can... moreWhat do you mean they are not all in one devices. So your trying to say that the n96 is the only all in one device on the market. It does not have touchscreen sooooo what you have to say now. Stop taking nonsense please.

Kenzo, 05 Oct 2008The only lier here is you...coz u clearly didnt do ur resea... moren96 has no naviwheel! read the gsmarena review! it has a naviwheel breathing, the light that blinks around the dpad, but no naviwheel function! n96 with its first firmware version can only record video at a maximum of CIF resolution @ 15fps only!

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2008"best value featured pack all-in-one device in the market."... moreall-in-one device means it has everything that a device can offer at the moment, camera, dvb-h, wifi, a-gps etc, N95 and N82 and innov8 don't have dvb-h so they are not all-in-one device.

best value because this will sold at around $599 in due time, its original and planned price bracket. price is expensive now because of the new and hype factor. wait further and the price drops down to its intended price.

      my point!

NOKIA lied about the N96 technical specifications! First, they said that this phone has Naviwheel but in reality it doesn't have a Naviwheel. Second, they said that it records video in VGA resolition at 30fps but it turns out that it can only record video in CIF resolution at 15fps in maximum.
What else is wrong about this device?

                  wins on the video front?

It doesn't do widescreen like the new LG although I suppose video matched to it's low-res screen is good enough.

DIVX not supported so will still have to convert movies before transferring from PC, c'mon Nokia, Blackberry supports DIVX and it's a business phone.

8 megapixel camera's are the new standard...

...Nokia always the follower, never the leader.

So it loses on the Gaming front but wins on the Video Recording Front..

So this means its more of a Video Recording rather then gaming.

                    yes?

in this video....though the poster said n96 records at vga 30fps

it is obvious on the sample that he has given that it is only 10-12 fps

and from what I see....the video isnt as clear as a VGA video should be...its more like...a CIF only resolution...

                                whoa, this device a FLAGSHIP?
                                i don't think so.
then many of those who owns one criticized it. with being a prototype.
i don't know if I will still buy this one or should I just go with the nokia n85.
I think nokia is just after money making. yet not providing us those overprized product we have paid.
is there anymore negative feedback about this Nokia Nseries FLAGSHIP? huh?
                                I want to know everything.

will anyone explain to me why would this phone need two sets of music-oriented buttons?
(the slide-up one, and the other one below the screen)
isn't it a little bit redundant?

This phone is full of problems. Video playback problems, application incompability. Slow interface. Very slow processing speed. No match for N95.

Do not buy it. Go for N95 8GB or other new N-series devices.
