This Is ment 4 the Hard core Multimedia freek.......
Its not necessarly and upgrade 2 The N95 8GB..yet its an Alternative...
If you alredy own a N95 and Dnt need DVB-H TV and extra memory...then Go 4 the N85 as an upgrade....or you could wait 4 the relese of the N97 and N98...
I will perchase the N96 coz i neva owned the N95 8GB and im also a Multimedia freek who loves his gedgets...
Bonus is DVB-H TV is free in my country.. :oD
Cnt wait 2 get my hands on this baby!!!!!

Is this phone worth buying. other than the dvb which cant work in some countries and the 16gb that you will never complete is it any better than the n95 8gb. i think its a waste of money.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The reason I think someone like Kal or me and many other post info and compare N96 to the innov8 is that we had so much expectation of the N96 and were let down both in specs and release date. The specs were awsome for 6-7 months ago. Why doesnt Nokia release phones like HTC or Samsung or even LG? For example HTC introduces a phone and releases it the next month. Nokia shows everyone what they want to release in the "near future" and gives plenty of time for other companies to copy, build on, and improve on what ever Nokia wants to offer.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2008I never thought that there somebody would post that N80 has... morei think you referring to me..and im not in high...i will prove it that n80 is better than d500 because i have these phones and for 2 and a half of usage.my d500 sliding got loosen up and .and my n80 slding mechanism is still good.actually i always used my n80.thats my opinion(actually its not an opinion)but a testament...

Saw the phone and Theres nothing much difference from the 8GBN95 and its Priced 38,000Rs. in Indian market. Has Nokia Gone Crazy launching At this price. Its a Very Disastorious Launch!
More Expensive Than the 16GB Iphone Launch!!!

Heard that the sunlight visibility of Nokia N96... moreIndoor Innov8's displays a bit better picture that N95 8gb, reveals fewer pixels and appeared smoother overall. However under direct sunlight all of them get washed out. yet you can read text in N96. Samsung has the issue with screen geting washed out under direct light for quite sometime now. So I'm assuming it didn't improve here. They have only fixed it recently with S7330. Innov8 accommodates more text though.
Sound quality will be always better on headphone. Innvo8 currently claims to have the best sound quality. Materials used and the build quality affects speaker phone quality for sure. Innvo8 is ahead on both. I'm wating for GSMarena to do a speakerphone test to reveal the details.
Mobile tv applications will work only if you have moble tv services in your area. Being S60 it will be easy to get one, however I can't say for sure that it will work unless someone tried and tested it. Hope this helps. cheers!

N96 will cost only $599 by January.
Thats a confirmation from a top Nokia Executive.
It will replace the N95 8GB since the later will be face out, call that retiring with pride.
Buy this phone by January, word of advice!

In terms of interface and hardware buttons, I have to admit that K850 is better. But ofcourse when comes to video, this n96 impress me alot. Even taking video in low light conditions is very gd. I still havent transfer my photos to pc, so I am not so sure abt the detailed quality. For sunlight legibility, I am ok with this n96 screen. No ph screen can show u so colorful under direct sun light. The important thing is to see text clearly from the overall background, especially typing sms, and N96 done that gd enough.

Hi Guyz,
Heard that the sunlight visibility of Nokia N96 is worse than N95 and the Samsung INNOV8.
Also It seems the sound of N96 is good only with the Head Phones and the sound quality is pretty Blurry and disturbing on the speaker phones as the material used in N96 is cheaper than INNOV8.
Kal What do you think?
And Is it possible to have the Tv Broadcaster and receiver in the Samsung INNOV8 Also ??

Dear dd 4 your kind info. that s60 is the best ui freindly sys now your ans.is go to tools then settings, general, personalisation, themes, powersaver, animation file and your flash file there you go. to kenzo sliding is stable solid,screen is visible good is direct sunlite kickstand is solid keypads are small dificult to texing call quality is never a issue with n96.
