How well gose the screen fair in sunlight?
Is the Kick stand stable and is it part of the back cover?
Are the key pads solid and good 4 texting?
And finaly how is the call quality (video and voice)

My N96 hangs and self restart (so far 2 times) when I take photo (while opening view finder). Loading sms page is slow (compared to my previous s40 devices) but no hangs at all. There must be a few bugs in firmware (or software)since this is first version. Hope we can just upgrade newer and stable version very soon. Now I am happy with this beauty, BUT NOT with s60 UI. I am new to s60 and it gives me headache. How to set flash wallpapers as wallpaper? I use to set flash wallpaper (got it from mobile9.com)in my 6500slide. When I view them in n96, it shows well but in the option menu, there is NO " use as" option. =( pls help me.

now available to preorder on phones 4 u website for uk launch on october 1st.. Just goes to show how worried nokia are regarding sales of this phone as is only same price as n95 8gb free on £35 18 mth contracts with orange..i will stick with Up to date samsung innov8 best on the market

I have been playing with this more than 3 days here is my impressions
-n96 not good not bad.
Old creepy qvga screen same as n95 8gb
Speakers are loud in video and radio mode but not in music player. Via head phones sound is supperb but not good sonic experience as n91
Os is slow than n95 but if you do themes effects off than it is much faster
Web is better you can download any file via web browser like .rar .exe
Battery life is so so. I strongly advise those who want one that they wait some time for firmware update because it has lot bugs one more thing is camera is as good as n95 not good as n82

Got the phone this morning from local nokia shop in greece. This phone really rock. I've changed quite a few phone latly. HTC dimond, Sumsung inovv8 and etc, all high ends. N96 is the top og the top, 2nd come N96 8gb.

if we are talking about picture qulity then Nokia N82 is the answer. its a camera more than a cell phone.

Kal, 18 Sep 2008Though I agree that you should get what you thought best fo... moreHardware meaning media keys 4 landscape and portrate oriantation, 3.5mm jack on top...The screen of the N96 is more visible and clear in day light....and the reviews say it looks more natural than the N85 and i8510....
I agree The materials used on N96 a much lower than the i8510...yet the fact remains the i8510 lacks the nessesary hardware 2 make it a multimedia device....

That phone is already a year old. Like the n96, it started selling at 550 euros and prices have come down since that time.
However, the issue is not the phones, since they are all good. The issue is you coming here to this forum and trying to force your solution down our throats. We tell you we are not interested, but you dont seem to listen.

Can someone share me where to get free 3rd party or plug-ins for video player? Standard real player in this ph doesn't play file like avi.And some wmv file only play sound. Pls help.
