has anyone tried chargin their n96 with a usb cable....cause mine doesnt charge....i had a 5310music express that used to charge at work using usb cable...i wana know how come the n96 doesnt.....i know people will say use a charger but for times wen u forget 2 carry charger and there's only da usb that u can use; it would cum in handy...

During the time, opening and closing the phone might damage the slide,but this is a problem with all slide phones not only with the N96! It's build quality(the plastic used) is inferior to the one used in N95 for example,but it's acceptable! The N96 is not Nokia 1100 to survive every time you drop it! But it doesn't brake apart if it falles from, let's say....1 meter on the ground! I once dropped my N96 on the floor and nothing happened! But.....like many things in life it much depends on luck! So.....good luck with your N96!

nokia n96 is the best phone i have ever bought, its a great phone, any person who wants to buy a phone i would encourage you to buy the nokia n96, i love you and evey part of you nokia n96 :-)

its my request to all n96 users.. just update ur cell with 30.033 version and then use it..
i will seems much better bthan any iphone, n8.. htc.. all of them..
its a best phone ever by any brand

i got dis nokia n96 last yr. It was vodaføne branded and had to upgrade to get the tv application. Since then, i hav bin tryin to connect the dstv mobile but am told 'retrieving rights faild'. I hav flashd the phone several times but to knw avail. Hav bin to my network operator to get it done but still nt working. Tel me what i should do pls. U cn email me at freshmajor@yahoo.com. Tanx

I cannot connect to the internet with my nokia n96 phone.If I try to connect it would just say "GPRS not subscribed"....I tried to install internet and MMS Settings....would say Memory Full...Please help

One of the greatest phones ever made. I will watch FC Barcelona versus Shakhtar Donetsk match on my Nokia n96 and i hope Barcelona win and hopefully win their 4th champions league title.

N96 is a good phone but the only error about the phone is; the ram is not like that of N95 8GB coz nokia wrote 128MB ram but when you start the phone it will give you a total ram of 49MB instead 90MB like N95 8GB.The second problem is the battery life which is very short.When the phone is updated to latest firmware,the live tv won't display on tv.

This is the best fone ever in my life. I had also same problems of slow speed and other problems you people are facing. I updated my software from 10 to 30.30. After updating my software now it is working 110% faster than previous. I have now loaded many things in its internal memory now it is fine. For messanging problems please shift your memory to phone instead of mass memory.

if i connect my N96 to my tv it will display evrytin on it but if i switch on d dstv it will only show a crossd key (i.e locked sign)all i will get is d sound nd d option.wat can i do to unlock dz key dat is displayin on my tv screen.
