nokia supporters
you should not worry about megapixel war because the truth is, we don't need this extra pixel in our regular mobile life.
i would rather want nokia to introduce new features in mobile phones which they always do rather than throw a waste additional MP.. for starters, WIMAX, dual processor, removable screen and keypad (aeon concept) among others

To all those worried about Nokia not taking action against Samsung/SE "attacks" with their 8 mpx cameraphones.
First things first. Nokia never falls behind. It never has. Nokia's current "situation" asks their fans for patience until the market leader finally strikes back.
Secondly, do you really think Nokia is just standing by, watching Samsung show off with their newest all-in-one device? If I remember, in December 2007, long before SE even thought of trowing 8mpx CMOS sensor into a mobile phone, GSMArena wrote a short article about a Nokia project to include a high-resolution camera.
To see the article, click here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_patent_pumps_up_the_megapixels-news-375.php
This is just to show you that Nokia has had the idea of a higher resolution camera for a long time.
And remember when LG launched that first awkward 5 megapixel cameraphone? Maybe not. But I guess you do remember when the mind-blowing N95 was announced two weeks later. No comments here. If the current situation won't be exactly the same as then, one thing is certain. Nokia won't fall behind.

Just read on www.mobile-review.com that Nokia is producing a 8 mega-pixel camera mobile ready for November or December so is the N96 worth signing up for on contract i do not think so,mobile-review was doing a review of the i8510 from Samsung an the C905 from Sony Ericsson an really glad i have read there review so the N96 will not be my next contract mobile so will wait to see what Nokias going to announce soon to shock everyone whos signed for the N96.so hope Nokia announce there 8 mega-pixel camera mobile as soon as possible an proofs the N96 might not be Bulk stock from Nokia as the mobile-review reviewer said in its Hands on the N96 review

The most envied phone by Samsung and SE fanatics because they believe that they already have better specs than this phone yet their not making buzz among buyers..
thats sickening truth and what there doing right now is trying to put this phone down..
hahaha, dream on guys, your phone will not match the excitement of people over N96 even if you put 100MP on your phone.
Nokia is Nokia and if your not buying Nokia devices then your not in!!

The thing is the competitors who have sprung out from nowhere is trying to bring down Nokia by fitting better cameras to their phones. Thats really stupid. why would someone want an 8mpxl cam? i mean the normal regular person. just because some other manufacturer is throwing 8mpxl doesn't mean you have to buy it. the camera of the phone is not everything. for those who don't have any common sense at all should think about this for a minute. where i live, i can buy an 8.1mpxl camera (just the camera with blue tooth) for less money you spend on the SE's 8mpxl camera phone. (buy a proper camera if you're so keen on the camera of a phone)

I'm ready for a dream phone. I thought the N96 was what I was looking for it look very much like the i8510. After a closer look at the specs and features I realized that people into TV, pictures and music might choose this one or the i8510
But I will keep on looking because:
* It's dual band HSPDA 3.6 I prefer quadband HSDPA 7.2 Mbps
* I want touch screen.
* 240x320 is at the bottom of any phone
* 2.8" screen it's at the bottom of my wishes.
* No real querty keyboard
* 950ma Battery is really low
* I have no idea what apps are available.
* I'm not sure if it can sync Outlook
I love all the other wonderful features but missing the above specs and features makes it a no-no for me. Not my dream phone yet.

Nokia is playing a very good market strategy..
if theres anybody who were nervous right now, its the competitors. They will not catch up with competitors, there always ahead..
The megapixel battle is nothing but a nomer, competitors crap phones cannot even beat N96 in projected sales, how much more if Nokia will gunned its secret weapons on their arsenal. You know why it was a secret? because competitors will copy their specs which they dont want to happen.
Let the competitors fanatics take the bait..lol ;)

Good news for future n96 users. The 1200 mah battery of the n78 should be able to fit into the n96.
There is a review of the 6210 navigator at smape.com. (im unable 2 give the link at the moment) There is a section which talks about switching the 950mah battery (the same one used in the n96) with that of the n78. Battery problem is solved.
As for the nokia 8mp monster, it has been confirmed by mobilereview.com that it shall arrive around november-december. It has also been described as a pretty good phone. Lets see how the INNOV8 handles REAL competition.
