I've been a SE fan since I got my K800 - best phone i've ever had - then I got the K850 and I have never hated a phone so much! It's just rubbish compared to it's Predecessor, always freezing, erasing info, having to do a master reset ever 2 months cos it won't let you into your inbox, camera lights stay on when you change your application, decides to go slow sometimes whilst composing text, I could go on, roll on N96 release!!!

I know what you mean. But then again when the original N95 came out it was just as much. I think a little more?

Yeah, this is a hell of a phone... But please! 600 bucks for an upgrade of the n95?
Here in Portugal, not even the e90 costs as much! I sure hope it gets below 400$...

                  Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Steven,

according to play.com they are releasing the Nokia N96 on the 31st of July. They are taking pre-orders. Although Nokia has not released any press statement regarding the truth of this matter. There has been people who have claimed August, September release dates.

Even so, there's no official release date.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2008Better than n82, n95 8gb but not better than samsung i900..... morehmmmm i hope you're right about the expansion slot thing. According to the press release datasheet at the nokia website, it only use the 8Gb MicroSD as an example. Perhaps when it comes out the N96 would support up to 16GB as well.

But again, I don't understand. Why is everyone comparing the touch phones with the N96? I've said again and again, the N96 is a button phone. There are no other button-based phones that can match what the N96 has to offer.

Better than n82, n95 8gb but not better than samsung i900.... Because it is touch, window mobile and everybody is sure that i900 camera is better than n96.... Ohh i forget... For music lovers U can extend memory in n96 upto (16 + 8) 24 gb while in i900 u can extend upto (16 +16) 32 gb...

16GB?? good. But takes how long to load files when filled up to about 10GB?? i am wondering the speed of switching on the phone. Maybe 10 minutes??

You don't have one, you're bluffing.

If by chance you own something that looks like this and is supposedly an "N96" then it's obviously a fake.
