The Nokia N96 comes equipped with a DSP for sound and video processing; this way, their presence should boost the handset’s performance on these fronts. Let’s take a look at our battery time chart and see how well it fared in a duel with the Nokia N95 8Gb:

GPS-navigation – 3 hours
Video – 4.5 hours (rated at 5 hours, the Nokia N95 8Gb lasted 3.5 hours).
WEB surfing (over EDGE) – 3 hours (same 3 hours on the N95 8Gb).
Wi-Fi (non-stop data upload) – 3.5 hours (N95 8Gb – 3 hours).
Music (in headphones) – 13.5 hours (rated at 14 hours, the Nokia N95 8Gb – at 10 hours)
TV (only for the N96) – up to 5 hours.
Obviously, the N96’s hardware feats help it stay up in the video and music modes longer while packing a less capable battery. Other than that, it was on a par with the Nokia N95 8Gb (give or take in view of its inferior cell).

Spotted Viper, 03 Jun 2008Well, you may be right. But, reversly speaking, let's assum... moreWell, you have some arguments. I agree that if LG Secret was bigger, it would have more functions. But the LG can't throw Nokia "extras" into their phones as they are Nokia's and not LG's. Pretty logic. And it doesn't work vice-versa either.
But if the LG Secret was the size of the N96, would it have the same performance? Delicate question. But I think "no" would be the answer. Arguments are welcome.

This will be the same as most other high end Nokia's-does a little bit of everything but does nothing particulary well

In case you guys haven't heard from the front pages of GSMArena, there are already some phone stores offering it on pre-order. I haven't looked into whether all this is real but they all seem to be coming from UK. It's priced at about $USD1200 and the earliest date for preorder release is 31st July.

If anyone wants to research, just go to google and type in N96 Preorder.

The_Nootz, 02 Jun 2008You are right. Nokia should have considered placing a xenon... moreWell, you may be right. But, reversly speaking, let's assume that LG will expand the Secret's volume to that of the N96, don't you see they have the technology needed, and are able to stuff all the latter's extras while keeping thier own? immagine what LG can do with this extra 40 cc, they just need to fit a bigger battery to accomodate the upgrades. What do you say?

                                        950mAh battery??

                                        It's a diseaster..

But memory + microsd feature make him perfect fone...2.8''HSPDA OS9.3 FP2 Cam and place of the 3.5mm jack..these are also perfect

But I thınk NOKIA will release new phone no sooner than thiz fone..

                                        Maybe N96i or N97(98) N96fold n96xxxedition...
