i'm a nokia fan as well as sony ericsson. i have used almost all nokia models. quite disappointing this time that nokia has still not introduced touch screen (atleast for this model). that is why nokia is loosing its market in few countries due to the absence of a touch screen. nokia please wake up???. to use gps touch screen is very convenient

By the way I responded to this opinion:
that won't help. coz ppl will use internet, watch video, make 3g calls, play 3d games.. all consume lots of power. and this ph dun have light sensor(it is not necessary indeed). But I wont complain abt battery. coz I will charge every night b4 sleep....

Or simply move to America where the cellphone technology is 200 years behind... No problems making 3G calls because there are no providers, not to mention videos and games... The richest country with the worst cellular system in the UNIVERSE !!! And yes, I am an American.

ok, battery life is incredibly smal...but when comparing it with the SE its like the buggaty veyron vs ferrary =)) it`s just great from very many points of view, maby next generation nokia`s will have better battery ore maby in 1 year or so nokia will offer better battery`s for all nokias which you can buy...I thing SE should make some money out of this and offer SE batterys for nokia phones =)))) it`s a nice phone, you can not say you would throw it away if somebody gave it to you :D

Comparing the N96 and the N95 together, the only benfit over the N95 I can see is the DVB TV Tuner. Everything else looks the same. So what's the point!?!

I have to agree pertaining to that battery. It was one of the reasons I did not like the N95, here I am doing everything I want to do on my phone, and my battery only lasts less than 3 to 4 and a half hours from heavy usage. It also seems to me that performance on that thing is slow. Flipping through menus and applications was a unpleasant experience, it took the camera a few seconds to snap a photo. And my biggest complaint next to the crap they'd call a battery is the there's no QWERTY keyboard it. This made the web browsing dull and difficult, especially since I was coming from a phone with QWERTY. All this aside, the N95 was a pretty good device. It just wasn't my style. Now the iPhone, thats my style. Its much better to me in terms of what I want out of a phone. Though the N95 is no slouch. I'm also sure this N96 will be a great addition to Nokia's N Series line up. Just adress these battery issues and put some more powerful processing capabilities behind it.

wow nokia, I hear they have ppl out there that can design something different. Make phones a bit different, and maybe use a battery that last's half the life of my K800!!
I would get a nokia if i didnt see soooooo many come back through my phone store with ELF, or ppl complaining that their batt's last half a day...... My SE sales half tripled!!! Thanks Nokia ;-)
