Why is it with Nokia you have to choose between a chunky size or poor battery life? Everything else about their phones is phenomenal.

Nokia ran out of ideas so they came up with N81 design for their N96... How depressing!!! Ugly design for the N-series!!! No originality!!! So disappointing!

well nokia is having serious problem with they're design. Some of them are bricky (n95, n81, n96) and some of them have terrible keypad (n81, n78, 6220)

"Are you going mad, 4 slots"
Well either that or a good 64gb internal memory.
Why do you think the ipod classic has 160gb?
To be honest, you would never need that sort of storage, although in a few years time, mobile phones are going to be mobile computers.
Were probably going to be using Office and Adobe products on our mobile phones.
There will be loads of software out there for mobile phones, just like there is for computers today.
Check out how much phones have improved from 2005 to 2007 and see how they will further improve by 2009!

i own a touchscreen phone. They're overrated.
You have shitty games to play(a.k.a none) and the screen gets all messed unless you keep screen protector on...which makes touchscreen difficult.
I liked it at first...but now...I'm tired of the iphone.. now if the iphone had a touchscreen and a directional pad/home pad. and then 2 buttons at the top like ngage
It would be the ultimate multimedia phone.
i guess upping the anti on the camera and bluetooth would be nice too lol

Oh and number 5 would have to be better Battery life, and of course a lens cover and better Xenon flash.
Also 2x 3.5mm headphone jacks and 4x MicroSD card slots (which not only support MicroSD, but Sonys Memory Stick and Compact Flash etc etc etc....)

This would be the perfect phone "ever!" if
1.The screen was a 3" and it had a "minimum" resolution of 480x640 pixels
2.It was touchscreen
3.It Wasn't as thick!
4.Sony Ericsson and nokia were in association with each other.
Nokia does the phone side of the phone
SE does the multimedia/music side of the phone
(Sony Walkmans and mp3 players have the best sound quality ever, you gotta admit!)
And thats about it! lol ;)
It's just fine though as it stands!
In about a year we will definately be seeing all the above, and in a slimmer form phone too.
All of the above apart from the joint between SE and Nokia, but like I say, If Sony put thier Sound Quality into Nokia phones, then they would be the best multimedia phones ever!

Closing down applications doesnt help battery in lasting longer really. nokia need to do way more research into battery.

nokia does have some battery problems but it can be mazimized by closing unnecessary applications, especially the bluetooth. we all know it cuts battery life more than half. but i love how nokia sticks with it's originality and not copying other's styles and/or features like the iPhone's touchscreen.

- No Camera Lens Cover
- No Xeon Flash
- Same Battery as N95 lol
- Sound Quality not even da reach of N91
- Dual LEDS Flash lol
It just shows how much Nokia listen to their customers who pay £££££££ / $$$$$$ lol..they should have learnt from the N95 n wat happens nokia makes same mistake again lol..

when i first saw they had an N96 i really thought it would have been and upgrade in design but also in performance. Battery life is very important and i don't think the N96's battery which is the same as the N95 will hold up. What about touchscreen?? LG & Samsung just came on the sceen and have already put out touchscreen phones what's up with that Nokia? The N96 just seems like the N95 (1) in a different shell, where are the upgrades??
