Chris, 07 Jun 2009I don't think it's a really good phone.I heard bad things a... moreI got rid of n85 cause colour screen was false colours to strong,,poor audio in headfones,,pressing down on d-pad aching my thumb etc,,i love the n96 but it is slow and battery will get thru a 12 hr day,,love the flush screen lots of buttons,,kick stand,,fluid video,,sound is really clear,,tonnes of memory,,bbc i-player and all other n deries stuff..I would say that if you can wait see if any more n series come out or go for n958gb..I have 5800 but dont like touchscreens and n9 i can see it been as slow as n96.

first of all i want to talk about the camera.in this 5Mp camera is thre.from this we get good photogaphs.

I don't think it's a really good phone.I heard bad things about it : poor battery,lagging problems and lack of a 3d accelerator chip.I had to choose between a N96 and N85 and I tell you,N85 is way better!

Ahmer Salman, 05 Jun 2009Anybody can tell me whether i buy nokia N96 or not?/ bcoz s... moreITs a fully packed fone but is fairly slow in some apps..Its reminds me of n3 were it slow but if you keep pressing it you might crash it..Battery under heavy use gave me 9hrs use and 5800 gave 12hrs..I an on v20 now and that has helped and expect a further 2 updates at least..I do not know what else to say its typical nokia its battery id better than n95-1 its got tonnes of storage ive got 32gb altogether wich will slow things down BUT only while opening up mp3,,vids and fotos but so does a computer..I am looking to put sms accelarater on if i can find it..I like it you have to be a bit patient with it thats all..I have ordered a 1600ma battery which is on its way and another firm does a 2200ma battery but its quite big,,i get a new back cover with this 1600ma one but it wont speed it up yet till updates arrive like n95-1 had and it now good..I think a new update should be soon and the more people who email nokia should push them more..

the worst phone i ever had..the 16 gb memory is jst useless.once u used 4 gb or 2gb the fone starts stucking n sometimes all ur data is erased itself.so guys anybody wants 2 buy this fone dare u put ur important data n da fone coz ur gona regret it later on.itz an experiance of 6 people who r having the same problem.just watch t n dont waste ur money for sumthing not worth t.thanxxxxx!!!

i have this phone, i had n95 8gb, n95, 5800 xpress music and samusng innov8 and i can easily say that this phone is a piece of plastic in ur hands, it's a nokia n95 8gb with a fecelift, biger memory, some cheap theme effects and maby louder speakers. but in build quality it's 0, camera nothing new, the SLIDE is very very bad after some time, you can fel it move realy ugly for a phone this expensive... and many many more things that are just made so that nokia got out a "new" phone so that the nokia fan-geeks will go an get it quickly. in my oppinion, from all the phones that i tried, and belive me they were some, the SAMSUNG INNOV8 realy was breath taking. I'm not a samsung fan, i realy like nokia phones(or liked0 but the new generation phones, aspecialy the n96 have no "soul" their just made so that somewhone will buy them. WERY POOR PHONE in matter of price/quality ratio. trully dissapointing to see a nokia phone as lame as the n96...SONYERICSSON asd SAMUSNG are catching ground realy fast...

It has a Slower CPU than the N95 8GIG, There is no 3D Accelerator & the battery is a Lower Capacity than the Original N95, So This mobile should have been called a Nokia N94 instead of N96.

Alan, 04 Jun 2009how do you check what software version is on ur fone??ITS done by pressing:
star key,,hash key,, then 4 noughts,,then hash key..
When i take off battery cover on top right of fone is gold coloured microswitch,,whats that for..thanx.

The sound quality is excellent and using senheiser cx300 headfones cannot go above 75 volume cause it hurts so its loud..ITS lot better at version 20 and can be a little slow in some functions but where talking a few seconds not hours..I think it sounds better than 5800 but people want different sounds so its up to individual..

rocky, 30 May 2009seems n96 has battery life problems, low audio qualiy,and g... morei don't see anything wrong with this phone why r u guys so negative like this.i mean i heard this phone freezez but u need to update it,but if u say the audio quality is bad maybe u're ironic..cuz the sound is so loud and the battery life is just like n71 exactly it's not poor at all...get life plz :P
