guys if u think about buying the n97.dont buy it.cuz nokia has created the better version of the n97.the n97 mini version is cheaper,better,and stylish in looks.so dont waste ur time in the old n97 when nokia and us have the N97 MINI.

But ever since it got the kinetic... moreyeah men, my n97 was been away from me for a month coz a colleague of mine needs a phone until she got her new one,
even though i have the n900, i missed the n97, and i can use more efficient of my dateplan on the n97 coz it transfers small data compared to n900.
i just got my n97 back and to my surprise, i got an alert of phone software v21 update.
immediately rushed on a pc and update my device.
after that, my n97 becomes my personal use. my n900 is for my gaming, media playing, wifi and work use.

This phone used to suck.
But ever since it got the kinetic scrolling update it's become monumentally better.
Could use a bit more polishing up and it is still a bit slow.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2010mine is too, i think it's a software problemI think I found out what is the problem.
If you have a theme uninstall it and put the default theme back on. Then put the mp3 song on C:\ and be sure it is small in size...not more than 1.5mb.
Than change the ringtone. I think this will work..
For now it works on my N97.
And I have to say...I have no other problems with my beautiful N97 except the ringtone..which I consider as minor problem.

It has been biggest diaster for Nokia China since release of N97. Silly bugs or hardware problems arise every other day, now its a gone legend of the E63 era.
ripping age old clients has been bad name.
todays restart mem card trick been used shame.

TMT, 02 Mar 2010when i take a picture during the night using flash there is... morealmost all N97s have this problem..thats the only problem I have in my phone..unfortunately theres no official solution for that..just search in youtube coz i saw a video showing how to fix it..hope this helps..

for the people who r complaining that this phone hangs and restarts always,please update your firmware to the latest version (21)..the only problem I found so far is the white haze at the edge of the pictures which are taken in dark light conditions..My phone restarted twice so far which is quite normal..Im using this phone since december and no problems in the OS..
