my n97 is totally ok.but it turns off automatically 4-5 times in a day,then auto turn onn.whtz the problem??

Guys, finally i got the latest firmware released v21.x for my n97. After upgrading the firmware, the mobile is a lot smoother and easy to use. the Kinetic scrolling is better now. On the whole things has changes in the mobile. Thanks Nokia.

It's unusual for a company to publicly admit its shortcomings -- particularly a company as big, proud, and resolute as Nokia generally seems to be -- but an All About Symbian / Mobile Industry Review joint interview with Anssi Vanjoki, vice president of markets, at MWC last week painted a very different picture with regard to Espoo's views on the maligned N97. Though he says that the phone absolutely met the company's goals for sales volume and revenue, it was a "tremendous disappointment in terms of the experience quality for the consumers and something [they] did not anticipate." This isn't a sob story, though: he uses the opportunity to note that they've completely closed the gap on software quality for the flagship device, launching new firmware first in Norway where the response has been positive. Considering that the N97 was announced way back in 2008, there's realistically nothing Nokia can do to give the phone a second wind atop the lineup, but Vanjoki seems genuinely convinced that they've learned some hard lessons and swallowed some tough pills throughout its life cycle -- and those lessons will bear fruit when Symbian^3-based products roll around. I was decieved by NOKIA. I thought Im buying the Flagship phone but suddenly NOKIA is telling us that the Nokia N97mini is their FLAGSHIP PHONE. I thought it will be alongside the N97mini and the 32GB N97.
This will be my last phone from Nokia.
Though I dont have any problems with the phone. Im just annoyed at the status of my phone. I thought it's the flagship phone and GSMarena has said the mini IS NOW the Flagship phone.
Im watching the Sony Ericsson VIVAZ PRO - same OS with keyboard and it's hopefully CAPACITIVE screen.

Please someone help.... I have just got the N97 white, and when transfering my files from my old phone i found i had run out of phone memory, how can I automatically make everything save to Mass Memory, please help asap

pretty good phone,i have used lots of very expensive phones like sony ericsson K600i&w700i in 2006,P990i in 2007 then i went into nokia ,Used N73 Music edition,N95 8GB,N82 then bang! the big thing am now using my dream N97,soi will rate it 8/10 But there is room for improvements by nokia,am a law student of university of Nigeria,Enugu Campus,Am From Lejja In Nsukka Local Government Of Enugu State,Nigeria and please Could Anyone Out There Give Or Send me names Websites where i can i download lots of free symbian 5 edition Games,applications and software for my nokia N97.my email address is subiykeclifford@yahoo.com and please i need very serious friends&pals from around the world to share ideas on life.interested guys and girls should send me a message via my email address pleaseee!!!.God Bless.

This is not the best phone made by nokia..Im waiting for the next nokia phone to be announced cause I wanna change this as soon as possible..hope the next nokia will have a good proceesor,ram and speakers+sound quality...

hi n97 userz,, i have this phone,,in the start im very excited but,,when i have this phone ive realize the problem,,1st is the case to protect this phone,,and 2nd the features of this fone is not very well good,,like 4 example, when im downloading apps from ovi store,, in store from the phone memory not in the mass memory,,many times i go in nokia cares but all of that doesnt know how to resolve the problem,,any guyz can help me?.. and my sofware version is 20,,, i cant update from 21,, i nid for all ur response tnx a lot form phil,

I did an unthinkable thing... opened my nokia N97...fished wih java on an XP and installed windows 6. I can do a bunch of stuff but not play any music or movies.. How do I fix it

Is it possible to send the flims dirctly to the mass memary, because i send via bluetouth its firstly going to inbox, so there is no sufficent space.

Ive had my N97 now for 2 months and out of that its now been in nokia repair department for 2 weeks as my LOVELY n97 just stopped working my phone would just switch off by itself it would freeze and now the mass memory stopped working. This will be my last Nokia i ever buy. i have always bought nokia but never again. My advice dont waste your money or time on this phone. It is not worth the trouble
