Hey Time-OUT!
Stop bitching about the N97 guys! If you dont know hoe to use it, go get that iPhone or whatever its called. The N97 is one of the Best ones out There. 2 more update and BAM! say g'bye to all the problems you bitched about.
Now lets see why the N97 beats the iphone:
*FREE VOICE GUIDED NAVIGATION - FOREVER!
*Stereo Speakers
*FM Transmitter
*Radio
*Full QWERTY keyboard
Why does the iPhone beat N97?:
* Capacitive , Multi-touch screen
* Its an APPLE product
* App Store with Cheap apps
Thats the end of it! if I want those on the iphone, I'll get an iPod Touch

Have had the N97 for 6 months and am quite sorry I got it as it does not measure up to the n95 (I had previously) or the iphone. As a medical student I need a phone that can run medical apps and lets just say that I need them. Otherwise its a good phone aside from a couple of glitches.

Pals I have a problem with my 97.The the phone doesn't grasp the GPS signal at all. I installed the maps and it worked great in the beginning but now I put the phone in open for hours ,but it keeps saying "searching for GPS signal.....and body can help.. thx

Guys i have been using this fone fr 7 months nows.......i agree earlier this fone had software issues....but after version 20....its working smooth....fawless....and now after version....21....it much much better....kinectic scrolling is smooth....well guys who r having stupid complaints....make sure after yr update....u need to format yr fone and yr mass memory also....yes u can search fr music in the library....this is the best nokia ever fr me....nokia store has awesome apps....and very very usefull apps also....iam typing all this on my N 97....i eeven have a blackberry fr only bb messenger.......N 97 RoCkS......

every thing about the phone is excellent.the sound system is splendid,the tilt sliding mechanism is very strong and will last for years Unless carelessly handled,the screen is scratch resistant enough while the touchscreen is very sensitive,all in all am satisfied with almost everything about the phone except in the following areas:Nokia should have used an amoled screen display instead of the old TFT,Nokia N97 should have had a built in DVB-H TV Receiver Just like its younger brother N96,the phone should have been equipped with an 8 Mega Pixel Camera& a more advanced Xenon Flash,the phone ram should have been 256mb&processing speed of the cpu upgraded to 600 mhz,Divx&Avi Playback Should have been supported instead of using 3rd Party applications Finally Nokia Deceived People by claiming that the phone was made with Metal frame While the lower part of the supposed metal was actually a shined metal&within a few months started scratching away!!!.Imagine My utter dissappointment because as a student i spent a lot of money on phones and on the nokia n97 in particular which i thougth had a lot of quality inside and outside!

Simple.... Nokia is such a big loser on this model n97.
i am using this phone for last 6 month.. have all the updated recent firmware on this phone but still its a loser.. i wasted my $600 on this from usa. i feel like breaking it every single day...
Playing video is a pain in this phone. Specially MP4 Formate.. Iphone can play much better video playback with much much more brighter screen resulation. N97 somehow blury.. slow.. and skips frame on video playback.
well anyone wana waste money like me then go buy it.

i hate my phone. My key board always stuffs up and wont let me type symbols. It randomly freezes or turns off unexpextedly. I cant set a particular ring tone. Camera at night sucks. When deleting typing it deletes words other than the word i want. I have other friends with the same problem. So angry and apparently nothing can be done about it!

It shouldn't take too long with a genuine charger. The Nokia charger copies in the Philippines are crap, they are slow and stop working pretty quickly. I also shop in that mall and tyhe Marquee mall, we got an E72 recently and have had no probs but I bought my unlocked N97 in Singapore, it's fine also although still can't get V20.

I am very sad to see your ... moreI did buy one in the Philippines in SM Clark, it costs me 24.5k, after 3 days of use, the battery charger give up, then after using other charger i discovered that the charging is so slow, don't drain it, it will take hours before it will charge not seconds or minutes. After 1 week of use, I sell it to my co-office at the half of it's price, just like other comments here, I am really dissapointed!

Yesterday I purchased NOkia N97. I am very sad to see your all comments about N97..becoz I just purchased this device.. It cost me 2200 Saudi Riyals. I am living in Saudi Arabia..
Until now I didn't face any problem in this phone..Camera is ok.
