I've had this problem 3 times, and changed the year to 2006 or 2007, and worked 2 of the 3 times for me (I just gave up with the last theme). Also, in your settings, allow software installation to "ALL" (in app manager), and turn off online certificate check, phone formatting etc. If it still doesn't work, I think you need to go to Nokia Care Centre. please anyone can help me i can't seem to understand the problem that certificate expiration message keeps pooping up when i tried to update the ovi store or when i tried to download some themes...i tried all the options from reversing the date to goung to the settings but it seems it doesnt work any help plz?

I would like to see a mobile fone in shops for demo purposes so we could try before we buy then the fone could be sold as shop soiled ..That would help but not long term tests like when apps and files build up and everything else like signal strength and battery life..
I get 80% of my fones second hand and sell them quick if i dont like them for a little loss..In your case your buying new and it costs alot and want the fone to last and do what you want it to do..That job is just about impossible as you only get to try one fone and maybe miss out on a fone that could be more suitable,,its also hard to trust forums because you dont know whats true or false..Even websites like gsmarena only have it for a day or two to test so they do not provide long term feedback..My advice is you can only get one fone so get all the specs and info you can,put the name of your fone into google and also specs reviews I.E."samsung corby specs reviews",,thats how i get a big range of info..If you see the same complaints on many sites it probably true info.. Check the battery life is enuf and that display is good in sun etc,,make a list of your needs and tick them off as you whittle down your new fone and ask in that fones forum for some answers..I have not found a recent up to date fone that blows me away ,,YET..

Thanks a lot for your guidance for showing the link on Nokia Eu. I got one reply on my post which said that they do not have any links with Nokia, and that is just a info sharing platform.
Now I will think many times before going ahead with any thing from Nokia. I am thinking of buying a Samsung corby pro. Which will serve my purpose of mail and brousing..

When i owned my 5800 after pressing menu key and the icon page appears in grid view i could shrink the font to get more icons on the screen. I cannot seen to do this with n97. Is it possible.thanx

Things should get even better,,this is look at what T.I.OMAP 4 chip can do with dual 1GHz proccessors and big battery life and can run 3 screens.

Lets take a look at battery life,,,
There are fones fones to choose from and each fone is
rated by battery life under medium use..
Phone 1 12 hrs
Phone 2 16hrs
Phone 3 24hrs
Phone 4 36hrs..
You get up at 7am for example and take fone 1 with last you the day then recharge overnite.
You get up 7am and take fone 2 and it lasts till 1am so you still have to charge before bed for it to be any use the next day..
You get up 7am and take fone 3 to work and it lasts righr thru till 7am but its flat so no use you still have to charge it before you go to bed..
So for a fone to last 2 days you need fone 4..
The above is a mock up on how battery life can work and is just a scenario so most fones in magazines and websites say the fone is goos for a days heavy usage..It takes into account that people go to bed and therefore can charge their fone whilst asleep fully charged for the nxt day...

Ive secured one second hand and its on way its t-mobile ive just finished with voda uk after 5 years on contract..I am going prepay and on t-mobile get full hsdpa all over my town and in my house and 10 GBP top-up gets me unlimited internet and txts for the following month usint the left money for the few fone calls i make..
I am always honest in my judgements and battery times but this is one mistake ive made cause i said i had finished with touchscreens but i am giving it a try..The biggest reason is i enjoyed the 5800 it kept me intrigued for ages just cam was let down and still craved buttons so sold it..This is the biggest screen ive had in mobile terms and really interested in my own opinion of the fone..The n97 was over 2 million sales last year and people were satisfied with the camera fix and gps fix plus updates and further future updates...From the talk at the beggining when it first arrived in shops to now what my mags and websites are saying its now as it should be..
When i get it and tested things and its bad thats i will sell it but if its what i want i will keep it,,its costing me 198 GBP locked to t-mobile in good condition..There are 2 other conditions MINT in which its perfect and POOR and is in poor cosmetic condition with just a charger supplied,,..Thats it for now..Cheers all..

The phone is nice, but the problem I have is that the battery needs regular charging. Is something wrong with the battery.

does ur n97 plays hd 720p videos. i have total of 48 videos in my n97. some of them are 720p hd quality. size is above 90 mb.......

Nokia recently said to the press that N97 is not a failure,and about the firmware there are several updates coming to assure N97 is a flagship,because many users have sold the mobile.So N97 users still have cool updates coming.
