fuzzuy, 03 Feb 2010Don't buy this peace of s....t buy milestone or may be N900... moreIts really amazing to see all the negative posts i am seeing about the N97. Its just goes to show that Nokia cant satisfy everyone. From all the negative posts, i am sure many of these users don't have the phone, how much more, use it.

I've had the phone since August 2009 and I can confirm that it is working pretty well, better than other phones I have used.

Reviews and Opinions are about facts and not just annoying comments that I see!

i have this phone for a month already. my major problem w/ this phone it hangs! esp. when you have it keypad lock and you have a new message you sometimes can't unlock it anymore so you have to remove the battery. but other than that i like the phone! :))

Nokia N97 has 360*640 resolution display and all Apple's Iphones 2G, 3G and 3GS has the same 320*480 resolution display. The higher the resolution the better the graphics. So Nokia N97 and 5800 which have Nokia's high definition (nHD) screens have better picture and video quality than all Iphones 2G, 3G and 3GS.

I used to love iphone and tried to buy one when it was first released, but it wasn't available here in my country.
I was so upset of waiting, so I decided to buy an alternative phone.
I took my 500 us$ and kept looking for a phone, my choices at the end was three phones, they were the 5800XM, 5530 XM and the N97.

At the end I went for the N97 and bought it and was happy with it, then I gradually was unpleased with it, I always compare its graphics with the iphone, so that lead me to look for the iphone again.
I found it at last and bought it, seriously, I feel that Apple made fun of me. The phone can do nothing unless you stick it to the stupid iTunes!! what the hell?? What should I supposed to do with it's pretty UI while I have nothing on it unless you connect it to your computer all the time?? Where is the mobility in such a thing for God sake???
Now I own both, the N97 and the iphone and I found N97 is way better, seriously. Although, I still like the iphone graphics.

            This is my own opinion.

Even after latest update to 21ver it is damm snail pace, becuz processor and ram are hardware which can never be changed. Boys not feel the grunt of a 700$ set totally failed in market. Next time again run for N98 probably next qtr.

i use my n97 as my basic phone calls and text messaging needs. i use it for e-mail too, specially when my n900 runs out of power. but so far, im having a good time with my n97 and most, the n-gage app inside.

Something is seriously wrong here! Either there are lies or there are 2 types of N97.. It is not fragile & audio is very clear & detailed thru decent headfones..I have no signal issues & it closes nice & snug..Just cause a fone has a GPU does not mean its used for gaming or is any use.

I have been a Nokia phone user for many years now and need a 'smart' phone for work so I thought I would buy myself the N97, big mistake, I should have tried it first. It really does not live up to expectations, the software is rubbish and the phone freezes for no reason, so much so that I have to remove the battery to re-boot the phone, the signal strength is poor and the phone is flimsy and cheap looking (does not close correctly already). I dislike it so much after only a month that I have now given up on it a bought myself an iphone. Mokia really need to get their act together or Apple and HTC are going to take over the market.

The n97 is pretty much the worst phone I've owned, thankfully I've managed to get rid of it.

The processor is too slow and old, and the lack of a dedicated GPU means that games and apps are almost painful to use.

Symbian S60 isn't really a natural touch interface, and it feels like Nokia have made touch functions fit around the buggy OS.

I have found over my 6=7 years with symbian that i can get what i want plus most of its in the fone anyway. My only gripe is no timer/stopwatch function as standaed but a quick search gets me the app free..Time machine for 5th edtion was graphically brilliant and usefull on my 5800 and will be getting it for my n97 when i get one and its free app..
