is it normal that the handset gets warm while ur texting? could it be because the housing is made of plastic?
i am experiencing this and bothered that the problem is in the battery, or my hands are just too warm?

Nice device... but QWERTY keyboard (only now, at nokia?) HTC devices have this keyboard since Nokia launched the E50 model... The HTC S710 has that kind of keyboard.. and also SPV E650 (i'm curently using it!)

The QWERTY keyboard is the best in any phone (even in touch based phones). Iphone realy needs one ;) i don't like the touch one....

kirani, 13 Dec 2009my point was.. the n97 is a good phone i would rate it like... moreI am a N97 owner - 4 months now, and I will definately not rate ot 9/10. If it cost half the price I paid, maybe, but for one of the most expensive phones out there it is a huge dissapointment. I would warn anyone against the N97. Rather look at one of the Android phones - wish I had. The future of mobile smart phones lies with Android - not Nokia. They have realised this and cut back their 2010 release plan by half - the N97 caused some serious damage to the Nokia name. They are putting thier hopes on the N900 and the new Maemo (Symbian replacement on 2 years time) - but it seems a little too late. Nokia is going the Motorola route - on top one day, at the bottom the next. (speaking as a converted lifelong Nokia fan)

Anonymous, 14 Dec 2009can somebody tell me that is it not possible to answer a ca... morewhen i receive a call with the screen locked, i cant answer it unless i unlock it, it is really a problem, but as per mods and admins of the nokia community (cant remember which country), they are guilty of having those faults, and it can only be fixed by a firmware update (v20 indeed)

I have been a victim of such an incident when I was using Nokia 7710 and HCL Nokia Service Center was taking care of the case. I am aware that how is this Franchise model being managed in India now and its below quality standards. I would suggest you to never give it to such service centers and only give it to HCL Infinet centers are the issue can be escalated there and the Top management has some say there. Unlike such place of 7 x 7 where fools operate.

kirani, 13 Dec 2009my point was.. the n97 is a good phone i would rate it like... morepersonally, if my n97 got stolen i probably would go for another phone (maybe n900) not necessarily because i'm unhappy with it (i love my n97) but i'd probably want something new. But if, as you say, your stolen n97 was 9/10 for you then why not get another one? At least you'll know what you'd be getting. Personally, i find blackberrys a bit too business-minded for my tastes (obviously that's the market they're catered for).
