RAvi , 07 Dec 2009nokia n97s price may be a bit high....i bought it for 31K..... moreThe latest firmware has definitely breathed new life into the phone, but it's a shame that firmware 2.0 was supposed to be 1.0. If nokia didn't rush the phone into the market and made sure that they were releasing a more stable device, then the phone would be doing a lot better imo. Personally i love my n97 and haven't had as many problems with it as others seem to have had, but i have had problems just the same (i've had to hard reset once because the phone wouldn't start up, and i have the poor gps issue but don't need the gps as have no car currently).

n97 fan, 06 Dec 2009Does anyone know, in Nokia centers, they replace N97 lens c... moreas far as i understand, the problem with the scratched lens is because the cover was mounted too close to the lens, as the middle of the cover wasn't hollowed out. It wasn't really the lens itself that was the problem. Of course if you get this problem, you would need to get both the lens and cover replaced. I would like to think that if you were to buy the phone now, you wouldn't get this problem (as newer handsets no longer have this issue) but phones could be sitting in stores for months so you never know. I would just make sure that i will get free replacement/repair should i experience this problem before i buy the phone from a store.

Pnoy in US, 07 Dec 2009where can i find the memory status of the phone?i would also recommend that you get a file explorer like y-browser (it's free) as it lets you look into your phone's data much better than the native file manager. You can just google it and other file managers, downloads are ubiquitous.

revo, 07 Dec 2009what is more better nokia 5800 xpressmusic or nokia n97?pls... moreN97 because the touch-experience is way better than 5800 plus features especially the keyboard, i find it comfortable for texting and web browsing. I got my N97 last Dec 2. I had 5800 before I got my N97. :)

nokia n97s price may be a bit high....i bought it for 31K....but still i must say it rocks....i felt a little dissappointed in d begining..but after the firmware update...kinetic scrolling included...n many features. made n97 more better...as it is sid..n97 i made to evolve..so waiting for many more updates from very much trusted nokia company in india..!!...now i must say its truly an iphone 3g/3gs killer...i every aspect except the touch screen..!!!
n 97 rocks...its a must buy coz its price has gone down unfortunatel....!!!now its around 29K..!!!..nokia best suits for india coz its after sales service..!! which is not seen in samsund..or sony..or moto..!!

Does anyone know, in Nokia centers, they replace N97 lens cover, the blue part or they replace the lens which is stupid because it may be scratched again? and new N97s lenses are preliminary fixed or not?

Just google "hard reset n97" and there are a few sites out there instructing you how to do this. Doing this restores the factory settings, and you will clear a lot of space on your c drive. I hope you were able to back up your phone before you updated the firmware, as you will lose your data on phone memory. The e drive should be fine (ie your songs, videos, pictures and any apps you installed on e drive should be ok). Good luck!

..., 06 Dec 2009i do have a dilemma with it because 5800 has the best sound... more5800 is the 2nd best music phone imo..Nly seconds to i-phone 3gs..N97 mini also have very good sound quality..So its upto u to make the decision..Good luck !!0.. I have already made my decision and now im 100% sure that n97 sound quality is good enough to replace my good old 5700xm..Cheers!! & thanx for the help..=)

hey guys plzzz help...i am on 2.0 firmware and i just switched off the fone and when again i switched it on it is getting hanged on the nokia start screen... i took out the battery and again switched on but still it is not getting to norma,it gets stucked at the welcome screen......plzzz plzzz help....

greame, 06 Dec 2009i have watched almost all the videos in youtube about the s... morei do have a dilemma with it because 5800 has the best sound quality according to nokia because they made a chip made for music alone but i like the n97 mini because it has sharper screen compare to 5800 and n97 (no offense) it has 8gb internal memory plus expandable and it has a slide out qwerty keyboard. i wish nokia made a a phone that is stylish as the n97 mini with the sound quality of the 5800. go for the n97 it has better features aside form the camera compare to w995. sorry, haven't had SE phones, but i think it has better sound quality since its a walkman phone. cheers.

i had too much problems for hanging or switch off the n97 even after installing latest firmware , there is also become scraches on camera glass due to camera cover slider, its poor hard material.i think RAM required more because memory dosent read data as there is no sufficiant phone memory when phone memory comes down to 25MB due to phone its own loaded application phone starts to get problems and restart every time when u open phone book
