coleman, 12 Nov 2009hey... may i know how to differentiate the fake and the rea... moreeasy..connect it to pc suite. If it doesn't work or you see chinese characters, it is a fake. Also camera there is 1.3mps not 3.2 and memory on knock off is rarely more than 1 GB.If you look at the mother board in the back(where you put sim card under battery) you will see it is not nokia that makes it.And by the way it is not "NOKIA" that the chinese knock off is meant to be but "NOKLA" but they use the small "l" since you cannot differenciate it with the "i" from nokia.Otherwise outside and on other functionalites, it is the same.If you pay more than 90 $ for it..it is too expensive.Otherwise the knock off is not bad for that price and for show.

JL, 10 Nov 2009Just be VERY careful about purchasing these phones, particu... moreI bought one of these clones for 90 $.They look nice and work fine.I don't use the camera as i have a pro one and i don't need a lot of memory.Question..why can't you use a phone as it is..to call and send sms.Why do you internet camera and so on.Oh so you want to impress.Well i will impress for 90$ not 400$ for functions i will never use.Probably in 1 year i will want another phone so why spend that much. The clone has 1 year garantee on it and nearly all fuctions are there.I wonder why complain. You can't even tell the difference.

Telephony Online reports on data from research firm Strategy Analytics that places Apple as the most profitable mobile phone manufacturer in the world for the third quarter of 2009. Apple's estimated $1.6 billion profit easily topped Nokia's $1.1 billion take for the quarter.

I have a Samsung at the moment that has a 880mA battery that need to be recharged EVERYDAY. I wsa hoping thet the N97 with a 1500mA battery will last longer.

If you are concerned about the battery performance

Then buy this power battery 1800mah in the same form factor ( fit very well in n97 , original battery cover can be used)

                                    here is it

My experience has been fairly positive; even on the previous firmware, I didn't really have to restart the phone often...maybe once a week because a program would cause it to hang (mostly the web browser or opera 5 mini). Since I updated to current firmware a litle more than a week ago, I haven't had to restart once. Yes, the phone is a bit slow compared to others, but not painfully so IMO. I suggest you try out the phone first before you buy it so you get a better feel for it.

low memory, 12 Nov 2009so if you do this will it delete all the things you have saved?Your mass memory will be intact(eg files, songs etc), but your phone memory will be restored back to factory settings. So you will lose everything on your phone memory. Make sure to back up before you hard reset - you can do so through PC Suite. After a hard reset, you might also find that you will have to re-install some apps as well, and Maps needs to be updated because it reverts back to version 2.0 (and you need to update to current version).
