Does anyone know if this phones shows who a txt msg is ... moreNo; when you receive a new message, the screen shows a "1 new message" box but you cannot see who it's from or any other details. However, there is a free app from the Ovi store that you can get called "SMS Preview", and like its name suggests, it allows you to preview the message without actually opening it - it shows the sender and the first few lines of the message.

i have this phone mut it is not impressive i mean that if there isnt internet in it it must to be his price less of 200usd samsung omnia is realy better

Hi. Does anyone know where Nokia Map Loader stores the maps you download? What folder is it in on the mass memory? I can't find it. Thanks in advance.

I think n97 is a great phone
But
I want to scold the developer who design the s60v5!
They have no brain!

I bought a handset (N97) today and I am still trying to find my way around it. Is it a good buy as I have it bundled in with a contract now. I like the look of it.

It's a really piece of crap, like all nokias lately. We have at work dozens of models, many brands and i can tell you the latest nokia phones are the worst by far. HTC, Samsung, LG, SE.. all make better phones. And that is because the Nokia uses that crap of sluggish Symbian that no one wants. Windows Mobile 6.5 is a good step ahead (from 6.1) and Android is a really powerful platform (Motorola Droid and SE Xperis X10 are good examples). So until Nokia decides to dump S60 platform, it will continue to lose market share. The only viable Nokia platform remains S40. Dont't buy 5800/5530/N97/X6 phones. They are really expensive and not worthing the money. Just grab a HTC Hero and see the difference. It's not even in the same league, although the price is similar.

This phone have a few problems. 1) It's laggy. 2) Where the hell is the Wi-Fi? It's so hard to locate it. 3) It's a tad too bulky. I know cos my fren own this. and i've tried it on several occasions. It's a rather good phone. but with lots of problems
