Nokia loss also due to Iphone success read :
Nokia today is reporting a massive loss of $834M due to slow economy recovery and component shortages, this is the first time Nokia reports this kind of loss and as expected the its share value is being beaten on the market lossing a 6%, but while there may be a components shortage due to Apple’s hunger for flash memory and lcd screen, Nokia is suffering a stronger competition in all level, not only the iPhone is eating Nokia’s business but Samsung, LG and others are taking away market from the smartphone giant.

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2009In case this link doesnt work it says Nokia has 37% market ... moreYou are so ignorant revenue in the business world is measured by dollar volume and profits not by number of cheap little phones made at a loss, Nokia today makes lots of phones at a loss while APPLE BRINGS IN more profits than anybody else in the cellphone industry by dollar volume.
Hard to understand for a small redneck brain uh !

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2009All Things Digital reports that, based on Bernstein Researc... moreI dont understand why do the consumer has to talk about the market share. The statistics are only for share holders. And by the way since we are consumers a brand with more market share i.e. trusted by more people around the world and proportionately less profits meaning making cost effective phones. Cheaper phones with more features implied by market share, this means buying Nokia phones makes more sense for consumer.

ugh.the only thing good in the iphone is its apps.
                            no more.
there are many developers for the apps of iphone - this is because it has a good marketing strategy.
see, other companies make so much phones that their buyers have to change/upgrade gradually. oh geez. thats crap
while iphone stays the same as ever it was made.(now with 3g, wth?)
but focuses on more apps useable for consumers..

lets just say developers started making apps for nokia phones/SE phones (not like i care)
i guess iphone would just stink and rot in its owner's hand...
oh well. can iphones take multitasking activities? oh no.
cuz it was made not to. so it wont lag. lol. scared of losing buyers if it would lag...

All Things Digital reports that, based on Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi’s estimates, that while Apple takes in only 8% of cellphone industry revenue, they rake in a bind boggling 32% of the profit. This is similar to their share of desktop computing revenue and profits.
“With the iPhone and its Apps Store, Apple has established a formidable smartphone ecosystem, which history suggests is very difficult to overcome,” the analyst explains. “In fact, Apple has the potential to become a de-facto standard of sorts in the consumer smartphone market, much like it became in the portable media player market with iPods, due in large part to its first mover advantage and tight software and hardware integration.
