cliff, 07 Oct 2009hello just to say had my first 4 weeks with my N97 and i am... moremr cliff...iam have been using n 97 fr good 3 months now....yes version 11 had bugs but after version 12 came out..no problem at all...and on 0ct 10 new version 20 is cmg out...wic will make n 97 rocking...kinectic scrolling everywhere....more ram and more fone memory management....This is the best nokia i have used soo far...i have always used nokia fone...had iphone for 6 months its a good fone but n thing gr8....GUYS WAIT TILL OCT 10 AND INSTALL IT ON N97 AND SEE YR FONE BECOME A SUPER FONE.....NOKIA ROCKS....NO OTHER COMPANY IMPROVES THEIR FONE SOO FAST....EVEN BORING APPLE SINCE SOO MANY YRS SAME MODEL SAME LOOK...

Even Samsung Omnia (not Omnia HD) has 624 MHz processor which is greater that n97.

The only thing I noted is that the PDF viewer expires although I'm not sure if that applies to the phone or it depends on which country you're in.

Very dissappointed, within a few weeks i had to return it. It would freeze and not respond. Wondering why I waited for it and maybe should have opted for Ipod or Blackberry.

9.3.5 mm jack(wch lacks in SE satio)
10.Really good battery bkup 1500mAh (unlike d other company they only gv on papers).
11.White colour looks better n stylish.
12.Net surffing really excellent(im using nw N79 its also fantastic).
13.Touch UI realy fantastic wid widgets

If you do not midn could you plz tell me your full practical experience with N97 to my email at: digital67@hotmail.com. I be so obliged to you, as this cell is not so cheap in my country they are selling it around $700. Please do mention that what accessories you got with youer cell phone too.

jeff, 07 Oct 2009can someone answer this N97 has 3G but it is only HSDPA 3.6... moreit depends on the network provider
n97 can and will go up to 7.2mps
but they put 3.6 as the minimum cause my 5800 runs on 3.5g network on rogers wireless which is 7.2mps
so ask your provider what speed the 3g is at

Help with with symbian os
why applications need to be signed before installing in nokia phones?
If I sign the apps with my cert, when will it expire?
Would java app for symbian needs singing procedure too?
I notice that the apps " nimbuzz" downloaded from nimbuzz official site needs not to be signed before installing into my phone ! Why???!

hello just to say had my first 4 weeks with my N97 and i am not totally satisfied its a very unstable phone your doing one thing one minute and then it will lock up so you then have to re boot it and start again . I have found that if you keep the phones memory above 30 meg of free memory it seems to run smoother most of the problems seem to be with any photo apps music player seems ok i use that one quite alot and the video player is very good too . Battery life is a definite boost over my old N95 just about get 8hrs use before a refill . All in all i give it 7 out of 10 nice try but could do better . ps the phone has not had firmware update so this could solve the gremlins let you know if it does,think i shoulda bought an iphone but didnt want to run with the pack anyway whats a nokia phone without some gremlins .cheers cliff

I was careless and bought at the beginning of the N97 and started to regret after a day ... restarts the front panel scratching N97 machine quality is very low. After two months of problems with the N97 I decided to buy the Iphone 3GS and am very happy with purchase. N97 was used as a replacement phone, since it is impossible to sell. Iphone 3GS is sound quality and no major problems. Maybe after the program updated in late October, will become N97 better although I doubt it, because at the very heart N97 is full of opportunities, which are intended for marketing, but not the user.

you can buy iPhone for the price of two n97!!!
N97 is better than iPhone, it has memory card to store garmin map data
iPhone headset is easy to break
n97 has decent file system manager
n97 body and screen is very scratch resistant
..... Much more
n97 is made by nokia
sell two million in three months time

can someone answer this N97 has 3G but it is only HSDPA 3.6Mbps compliant,is this one can be upgraded to atleast 7.2Mbps like samsung brand? and is there any nokia has a 3G with 7.2Mbps?
