IMO the camera is quite good, don't just try the auto setting, you have to choose the correct setting especially at night. Yes you sometimes you get too much flash but just change the settings. The camera takes good pictures.

Hi I want to buy N97 because I have heard it's a good phone. I'm just worried because a lot of people is saying that the camera is so bad. Is it really so "HORRIBLE" that you dont want to use it? well, I am just after the innovative design and the touch screen

bebebe, 10 Sep 2009am getting n97 for my birthday which is october so would it... morethat depends what country you are in and where you buy it. Some places will have old stock with possibly V10 or V11 but it is possible that you will get V20, anyway it's easy to download via Nokia Software Updater.

am getting n97 for my birthday which is october so would it already have firmware ver.11 and ver12 or do i have to update it to 11 then 12 then the new one or just update the new one it has the others?

i bought my n97 yesterday
really great and i enjoy it . in my opinion it's the best in the cell phones
but i have a big problem
music player in my phone work badly and full of pause and i can't solve it . who can help me plz ???

Should I buy this phone of wait for N900 instead? I've been using S60 phones since 2004 and SE UIQ since 2002. Is Maemo much better then S60? I checked out N810 last year and wasn't impressed by it...

N97 is full of faults. Two months later and Nokia is still trying to deliver what they initially promised.
Nokia needs to focus and refine their product offerings, not try and win the race for the most new handsets released in the shortest timeframe!
I own a N97 and I am very dissapointed.

This phone sucks, it hangs, restarts, stucks whenever wherever, sometimes it never gets unlocked, also you cant take call without unlocking the keypad, and the moment you press the unlock button call is received? I shall not recommend Not worth Buying :(

finally got a chance to check out my friend's n97 and after i heard so many fanbois dissing us xperia users, i must say that i'm not impressed. today screen looks bland for a 16million colour display, xperias smaller and only 65k screen looks much better. also this phone looks, feels and acts cheap. only good point 32gb of memory otherwise there's no great features. i'll hang on to my highly customisable xperia for another year cos the guys over at xda is porting x2's software to xperia, which will make a great phone even better. try doing that with ur n97. xperia does have it's faults but it totally blows it's copycat right out of the water!
